I discovered this forum via Jeff's Magic Tickling Productions as he's the founder. I don't know whether it's the beginning. It was around the year 2000 I believe. I was so happy at the notion people were catering to my fetish in the adult industry. Sergio's SW tickling is the first website about this I have stumbled upon. Before I have seen an erotic programme like Sexbytes (but dunno whether it's Sexbytes). I was a horny teen and I taped an erotic programme which was to air late night according to the TV schedule. No other info. Well, to my positive surprise they were talking about our fetish. This may have been a catalyst for me to have typed in 'tickling fetish' or 'erotic tickling' at AltaVista or Yahoo Search later (the search machines of the era). I was active on the world wide web for at least one year before I got to looking up about tickling as my sexuality was still developing (even though my passion about tickling has always been there, the coitus thing was new to me )

I recall the days when it was a huge deal for a black or asian woman to get tickled. 2 female ticklers on 1 was a luxury. And as little material with female-on-male there is now back in the old days that was an extraordinary rarity.

I remember how excited I was to be able to take VCR tapes and make clips!!!

But as recently as last year I uploaded a mainstream clip to my old Youtube account only to have someone send me an angry email about stealing "their" clip!

I see so many clips floating that I know who made them "originally" that for someone to claim ownership (never mind they don't own the original material anyway) is a joke.

And that guy apparently appeared on numerous mainstream shows over there, admittedly more for humor. I know zero % Japanese, but it looked like one of the most interesting things I ever saw was a bit on a tv show where he tickled some older female politicians on their sides while bound. They were in their 50s or 60s, fully dressed & wearing some kind of sashes, and the people on the show were very well dressed and seemed pretty "square".

Recently, Ive had a bit of a resurgence here at the Tmf. Well, at least visiting here quite regularly again. Im interested to know who's been here since to beginning 00-01. If so, what were your initial experiences of the scene like back then? What's changed for you over the time, and do you still feel as connected to the tickling community as you did many years ago?

I found the TMF in December of 2001 after a quick yahoo search for the word "tickle." Our family had just gotten a computer / internet / etc. I think TMF was the 2nd most popular result at the time.

I was only 13, so I mostly just lurked and read stories. I remember a lot of MaxSpeer stuff, some story called Alice in Tickleland, and another called Eating Laughter that were favorites of mine.

I had planned to wait until I was 18 to register, but around 16 I got a little curious about interacting with folk here. In hindsight, I probably should have waiting as I might have been a little naive about what people wanted to interact about lol

I didn't watch any clips until I was probably like 19 or 20. I think the first one was I saw was something by Bleufetish.

My fondest memories of the community are between 2003, when I registered, and I'd say probably around 2006/2007 after I started becoming active. During that time, membership was (like others have said) pretty small and tight-knit. There were only a handful of regular posters like Venray, Mimi, Ann, Drew, Andy, etc. People were typically pretty friendly.

I was lucky enough to go to a few NESTs (06 through 08 and again in '12) and meet quite a few of the original crew that were able to make it, many of which I still keep in touch with today.

Sometime around 06/07 through 10/12 there seemed to have been an influx of members, mostly younger internet-savvy types. I think some of the uber-hyper, extra-disgruntled, ultra-post-happy kids gave the place a bit of a 4-chan / trolly vibe, and a lot of the OG members seemed to have left or moved over to Fetlife during that time.

I think the local scene back home is still the same handful of dudes getting together to hope for more females and as far as I know, there's not much of one here in AZ, however the bf and I still make it a point to go to BellaBash and maybe one or two other gatherings each year.

As far as Bugman and Artoo go, I haven't seen Bugman around in forever, though I typically don't frequent any subforums outside of GenDis and TKDis, and Artoo may have had a name change since you were gone. At any rate, I don't see him around here much anymore either. I think he's more active on Fetlife.

I think the literally first thing I ever typed into a search engine was "tickling", and if I recall correctly, the TMF was at the top of the list. This was back in 2003, maybe? I think I hopped aboard right around the same time as Isabeau, give or take a week or two. Boy, there's a lot of people I don't see posting anymore, although it's nice to see many familiar faces who are still around, too. I still think this has to be the most comprehensive site for all things tickling on the Web.

Oh, ASFT, I am remembering that now... Also geocities, where many of you possibly had your own websites. I remember story boards, photos, limited clips, Rock's page, the early MTP, Hotel Tickle, etc. When the previous incarnation of this forum began, I did register but only came online from time to time until the switch (very limited access), which afterwards it took me some time to register again.

When I was first lurking, I remember the site came up blocked one day, so I installed NetZero which would give you 10 free hours of dial up a month. I'd use that up in a weekend and then have to wait another month. Haha.

I remember using 37.com in mid-2000 to look up stories and found the old SWTickle and "The Laughter" sites, then found TMF in I think 02. I remember it being register only for a lot of stuff and didn't bother, thinking it was like a porn selling site. Eventually learned by talking to other tickle people what it was, signed up, and really just used it for images.

My memories of "classic TMF" involve everyone going off on tantrums at each other for little to no reason (remember when even f/m would set off the entire clips subforum with people raging about "gay shit"?).

I registered in 2004 and was relatively active between then and 2008-09 or so.

I made some really close friends here in California from attending gatherings during that time; and there were one or two I was close enough with that I would have considered them to have been regular play partners at the time. Tickling remains a pretty basic fetish of mine, but I would say it was also something of a gateway drug in that it got me into the fetish clubs and the wider BDSM community as a whole (and later on, the hook suspension community), and that's really where I'm active and where the majority of my social circle is drawn from these days. I still scan the forum pretty regularly though, and interject if something interests me.

My last NEST was 2007 (I think were just under 100 people). The last time I saw Bugman in person was the Houston event (also in 2007, I think?) and the smaller Dallas-Ft. Worth gathering in 2008.

I joined in 08/30/2002 so I guess kinda earlier, but not as early as 2000... so it was around for a couple years. A lot of the friends I had back in those days seems to have moved on which kinda sucks. It was cool finally getting to learn that there was a reason I got turned on by tickling.
