Why the color of the soles differ so much?

I thought that the palms of the hand and soles of the feet had no pigments so tehre would not be much difference between their color.

In my experience ususally very fair skinned women have very pale and pink soles and ladies with darker skin usually have moe brownish or yellowish soles, however some some dark skinned latinas have pale soles and some blond ones have yellowish or brownish soles.

Can someone explain me about this?
Regardless of the cleaniness, harder soles have usaully darker yellowish spots

I do not know about there being pigment on palms of hands and soles of feet but it does seem to me that people of different races / ethnic backgrounds do tend to have different colour skin on palms and soles.

However you may want to learn some reflexology as a reflexologist will look at the colour of your feet to see how healthy you are (its about more than just the various points on your feet). The following is from my very limited knowledge that I have picked up from having treatments myself,

Yellow soles = not good your body is needing to clear something out. I think in a way like jaundice.
Orange = not goot either but better than yellow.
Red = Still not great but better than orange.
Pink = This is good and is what your want to be aiming for if I am remembering correctly however bear in mind I am caucasian and this was the advice given to me it may vary if your natural sole colour is different.

Hard skin is either a sign of shoes being too tight or walking around barefoot all the time (the feet naturally get tougher to cope), or being dehydrated.

I realise that does not really answer your question but hope that helps.

As I recall, it has to do with evolution and the melanin content of our skins, which is a result (however it happened) of our species losing our body fur (hair). The more melanin, the darker the skin color, which was a safety net from the sun's UV exposure to our skin. As far as our soles (not souls....) and palms, those areas tended to be little exposed to the sun, so our bodies didn't produce melanin there. Or something to that effect.

Walking on them?

Yes if you look at someone who walks around outside on hard surfaces barefoot alot they will tend to have hard skin on the soles of their feet. It protects the feet, a bit like if you weight train you get calluses on your hands, its the same just on your feet.

Describing soles like it's music haha

I love beautifull sexy feet, and hands and dont care much about the color, but I realized some differences.
ALthough in general I dont like so much very red hands and feet (not pink, red), I rather prefer shape over color

from my point of view, if sole is about pink colour, it means it is very soft. if it is yellow, then it makes me dissapointed because of the skin feelings.

it is hard to explain it but if we focus deeply, it is all about our past. lots of people want to get things in their life by comparing what they had before. for example porn stars or glamour models in our industry.

so my fav is pink colour and a bit White... first of all, they must be silky wrinkly while toes curled up. blablabla...

Blood. I doubt it's really the melanin. It's the density of the skin and how much blood is pushing through.

yes, harder soles are usually darker, at least in the heells and balls of the feet

What color do you like, Maniac? :D

I think yours are a little too yellow, milagros317 :)

I like the color like in the center of my signature picture. The sole belongs to medical student Irina (pictures to the right and right bottom). Maybe that's what maniactickler also likes, browner tone.

Taylor raz and Honey. Pale, with slightly darker spots in hells and balls
Salma Hayek brown
