Dunno how in-depth the movies get into this, but the books have the Narnias (good guys) who are kind, gentle, understanding and at one with the world. I forget what they call the land they come from, but the whole series has many references to evil men who are "to the South", "dark-skinned" and have "large beards, pointed shoes and curved swords". If you get an edition with the original artwork, the final book "The Last Battle" has a drawing of a large bird-god thing carrying off one of these men, who looks like a typical, albeit stereotypical, Muslim man.
LOTR is the same way. Men from the East (Mordor) are monsters, orc and generally bad. Men from the West (Gondor, Rohan) are good, but it's a lot more obvious in CON.
