Oh, that wouldn't do it. By IP change, I mean a change mid-session. Say you log on and do some posting. Then, for whatever reason (say you're behind the idiocy of AOL's rotating proxies) your IP changes just as you try to go into the chatroom. The chatroom looks at the session table and finds you have the right cookie (assumption here) but not the same IP you were formerly using, so it rejects you.

August? The NHLee thing? Alas, no; I'll be on Tybee Island, GA for a family get-together. Some things I can get out of; others, not.

I've heard of some people having issues with it. I can't pin down why. I suspect it has to do with the way I check authentication. (by IP address and forum session) If you haven't done anything at the forum in a while and your forum session has expired it won't let you in. If you have changed your IP address since doing something on the forum, it won't let you in. If you did not allow the forum session cookie/deleted it, it will not let you in.

Is one of those the case? Or something else?
