    Mairead's Music: Hip Hop Edition

I'll be the first to say I'm not entirely knowledgeable about hip hop. At least, not as much as I'd like. The stuff they play on the radio is horrible and offensive. (Please explain to me the logic of a young woman listening to songs that degrade her?) Then again, most music on the radio sucks...

    Free Music (legal too!)

There was a music festival in Barcelona recently. Radio station WFMU carried much of it live. Now they've archived a lot of the performances here. Check it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed (no Neil Young though, darn it!)

    tickling in music?

cheers to all forum members, ive got a question for you... do you relate tickling to music? It seems strange but i believe there are songs that sometimes invite us to do something and maybe tickling can be that something, or maybe there's a song that makes you feel ticklish or remember ticklish...

    Mairead's Music: Part 3.124 - Modest Mouse

I bought their album Good News for People Who Love Bad News back in like 2004 and thought every other song besides Float On was horrible. For some reason I kept the album on my iTunes for years and downloaded some off of their newer album We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank and never even...

OK, so here's an idea. Set your media player to "random" and tell us what the first ten audio-tracks it picks are. I'll go first... 1. Dr. Frankenstein - O Cerebro de Morto 2. vBulletin Support

I PM'd MTP Jeff with a question about vBulletin. His response included a suggestion to leave a thread here, and take advantage of the TMF's collective wealth of knowledge. :atom: I am starting a music forum for my area, and was leaning towards using vBulletin (since I am familiar with it here...

    Mairead's Music: Soul Edition

    1. Sam Cooke (1931-1964) -Considered one of the pioneers and founders of soul music. A Change Is Gonna Come is probably his best song, which I think came out posthumously after he was killed. I can't find the song on youtube, just people trying to sing it from their living rooms and such. But...

    Music makers

How many people here make music using traditional or electronic instruments? How many have made recordings in an analog or digital studio? Me, I've put productions together first in the analog studio of a radio station and later on with my own "desktop studio". I use Adobe Audition (that's a...

What are some of the strangest pieces of music you've ever listened to?

I'd vote for Hymnen by Karlheinz Stockhausen, followed closely by Ionisation by Edgard Varese. A bit closer to the mainstream, I'd vote for Revolution #9 by The Beatles (word was that Revolution #9 was inspired by Stockhausen).
