10 Things I Hate About Tickle Videos

I can't recall a ler ever looking into the camera, fwiw. ...In the age of digital, the video gear can produce a passable image without much additional light, and so some producers don't bother to add any. Closeups seem to be lacking too...

Amazingly, I includied only peeves which I've seen within the past 6 months. So these issues are (unfortunately) all still happening now. I look at alot of material and hope this thread will draw the attention of video producers to these issues.

Most of the things that bother me about videos of yesterday and today all stem from a flawed presumption about us, the tickling audience. Specifically, producers sometimes presume that we aren't interested in the tickler at all, as long as the lee is a pretty and very ticklish girl. While I don't doubt this holds true for many, the misconception of which I speak is to presume that NONE of us care about the tickler. This misconception manifests itself in different ways.

Often a video is advertised without including the gender orientation. Nine times out of ten, the unlabeled videos are M/F. You read the advertisement and they always say things like, "Suzy Slut tickled all over!" or "See Holly *****'s feet tickled!" while never mentioning the tickler is male. They assume we either won't notice or won't care. And it's cool of many of you don't care. I'm not saying you should, just that some of us DO care, and quite a bit.

Another result of this misconception has already been mentioned. A video will be advertised as F/F and after a while some dude comes along and joins in. I don't care if he IS wearing a black mask, THAT's not cool!

I've saved the most frustrating example of this principle at work for last. You have an F/F video with an absolutely gorgeous and sexy tickler, and for 90% of the video all you see are her hands. Don't get me wrong, I love a female tickler's hands at work, but I want to see more of her. I want to see her shapely thighs, the curve of her hips, and the roundness of her somewhat large bottom. I want to see her breasts struggling at the confines of her tight blouse, giving an image of two dogs fighting under a blanket. And most of all, I want to see the tickler's face as she takes wicked satisfaction in delivering untold volumes of tickle TORTURE!!!....

I agree on 7/10 reasons.

2. You only see her feet tickled with nylons on
When I see a great ticklee tickled only in nylons and never get to see her bare feet tickled, I actually feel like I’ve lost something. I am preoccupied with wondering what her bare soles look like and how they respond to tickling directly on her tasty bare flesh. I guess I will never understand why tickle video producers who shoot nylon tickling don’t take them off at the end and give a little bare sole tickling for the rest of us.

3. Bad (defective or lacking) bondage
This can be so distracting. When the bondage is so weak that the ticklee is so free to move about that tickling her for any extended period of time is impossible, it defeats the whole dam thing. I’ve seen some bondage in tickle videos that was so bad I was concerned that the model might get injured. Grrrr!

4. Fake ticklee reaction and response
This should just be outlawed and banned in the universal tickling constitution. This makes the producer look like an opportunist looking to snatch our cash without sharing our passion.

5. Very little reaction from the tickle model
Not every model is very ticklish, and that’s just reality. So not everything that’s shot really needs to be sold. If it’s free and she’s mildly ticklish, eh.

6. Very poor lighting
This can really leave the viewer wanting, but with no hope. This actually falls into three types of problems and they both relate to producers still learning the craft. (1) Not enough light - Buy a light kit dude! (2) Light position - Place the light BEHIND the camera and not in front. (3) Don’t shoot with the camera facing an open window. Shoot with the open window behind the camera.

7. Really weak tickling technique
In these cases, I often feel like flying on a plane and doing an intervention to protect the eyes and minds of ticklers around the world. I’m often amazed that people actually put such material out when there are such powerful examples of great work such as TickleAbuse.com, TickleCentral.com, FrenchTickling.com and others.


10. Very little tickling in the video
If the video isn’t labeled as a tickle video, then very little tickling make the video a gem. If it is labeled as a tickle video, very little tickling makes it a turd.

I'm with the choices number 2-7 and 10.
For number 2, I like nylons, but I prefer barefeet more, and I believe others agree to it.

3: I never like bondage much anyway, even if I'm getting interested in it. Beside, that's a good point, what if it hurts someone or leaves marks?

4: I don't mind if the models aren't ticklish much, but it gets annoying if the laughter is a fake one.

5: Same part as I said about number 4, except it bores me sometime when no reaction occures.

6: That's a very true. You don't get enough sights if it's too dark, and facing toward the light or opened winder won't make any better.

7: (if that's off topic, my bad) I prefer using fingers only. feather's maybe, but only fingers. :super_hap

10: I'm a bit clueless on what you mean by that, but I'll say this; short tickling video....not good.

i totally agree with jmsdarke, you pretty much said it all for me

and that definetly goes for some of the new tickling clips and alot of new tickling companies, i may not have seen tickling videos from 89, but i have seen some from the late 90's early 2000 and i think its safe to say that time has changed, and not completely for the better lol

I agree on all the points mentioned. As a female ler, I relate to and focus on the ler, who acts as the stand-in for me. Thus, I am turned off by lers with whom I cannot identify (male, much older than myself, etc.). I actually care little whether the lee is male or female, as long as he or she is not hideous to me 😀

I agree with reasons #2, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10.

I agree with reason #2 because the bare feet are my favorite tickle spots. I hate it when the lee's feet are covered with socks, nylons, etc. Especially when the ler is going to remove them at some point.

Reason #4: It really pisses me off when a lee tries to fake their way through a tickling video, knowing damn well they're not as ticklish as they're trying to make the audience believe they are. Some video companies think they're slick, hiring non-ticklish models to act like they're ticklish. Some people can be fooled by fake tickling or ticklishness, but not me. I know a fake video like the back of my hand.

Reason #5: If she ain't ticklish, why hire her? It's a waste of the producer's money and the customer's money.

Reason #6: You should always make sure you are in a well-lit area before you even pick up a camera.

Reason #8: I don't understand why some people use all those so-called "tickle tools" anyway. Just use the hands God gave you.

Reason #10: Another thing that kills me is when the actors in a tickle video flap their lips almost through the whole video. I understand that there needs to be SOME dialogue in a tickling scenario, but there comes a time when you need to shut the fuck up and get to the point.

I love nylon feet. But I mostly prefer socked feet.

This one depends on the viewer. I like nylons personally, but I understand the point. The video should be labeled as such.

Yes this is very annoying. Oftentimes the bondage breaks down halfway through the session and they never bother to fix it.

The absolute worst. I hate fakes! You can tell immediately. There is never any surprised 'hit a good spot' moments.

Agreed. I am watching a tickling video, lee should be ticklish. *duh*

This could be expanded to poor production technique period. I hate it when the tickler holds the camera. Jeez just hire someone and pay him $50.

Agreed. It's sad that there are so many producers into tickling who can't tickle to save their lives. If you don't have the talent... like the cameraman hire someone who can.

Yep, just stick with one thing if anything at all.

Hire the lee under the condition of no mercy. She is being compensated for her time. Tickle Japan is one company that does this well. That big guy doesn't stop for anything once he gets started (usually). I wish other producers could do them same.

One thing that I really hate is when the model is doing the porn routine. Please I don't care about the panting and the overly horny looks. Also I hate when the model "looks" like a porn star with enough silicone to float a battleship. Give us guys some freaking B-cups for once, to me they look more ticklish even if they are or not.

As for plot, this will either kill or make a video. Most of the time it will kill. Lord, do I hate the old Cal Star productions. They were my first and I was so thankful when the internet made better stuff available. I don't want to see some dork in a clown suit or some dude dressed up like Frankenstein. The plot should be simple because I hate to say it, you guys aint professionals. If you want to hire Cate Blanchett (God she's a hottie) then by all means write a script for her. Otherwise follow KISS theory.

1. Appereance: Too many times io have seen ticklees who look like crap. ruffled hair, skin, untrimmed toenails..

I’ve been buying tickle videos since 1989. I’ve got to tell you that I think some of the stuff being produced today really out perfroms what we had back in the day, but some of the new stuff is weak and lacking. So I just wanted to put my top 10 observations of what’s weak with some of today’s tickle videos in the hope that some new tickle video producer will read this and make better choices.

3. I agree. I prefer the ticklees to not be able to get out.

7. My god, this is true for about 60-70% of tickle companies. I'm not saying they are bad, but they need to work on their techniques. For example, when most of the ticklers tickle, it's like they tickle way too quick, jamming their fingers into the tickle spot.

9. Yes. When you find a tickle spot, the key is to stay there for a significant amount of time, not just tickle there for 10 seconds, then move on.

I agree with some of the comments already posted.

What always bugs me is painfully bad dialogue from the 'Ler. Now i'm not expecting Oscar winning material here, but if you are gonna put a bit of a plot here ( and i know people who like it, personally, i'm more of a costume guy myself ), we don't need the 'Ler coming up with corny one liners that have me laughing so much, i lose interest in the video. Y'know when you hear "Now you will pay, here come the fingers of doom", It's all over. They should just set the scene, then get to the tickling.

Of course, it could just be me.

Not just this, but put some effort into your lines, you know, act! Ticklingparadise i'm afraid is guilty of this. In their early videos, it's like they are reading a script or something.

I agree with all of these and I identify myself with those points. When little tickling is shown in a video from another genre, it is absolutely a gem.

For example: when you have an f/m interrogation video where the "guard" has her victim tied in a torture rack, and instead of using the device first, she glides her index fingernail around the man's exposed armpit, just to taunt him...that's a jewel. Meanwhile, in a tickling video, the tickler doesn't exploit the ticklee's exposed parts, or even worse, the tickler keeps mashing the bread over the ticklee's body, instead of stroking, caressing, poking.

Good analysis. I agree on pretty much every point. Lighting is one that's irritating, but not a deal breaker for me. And I like nylon tickling, but like you, gotta see them bare before too long. Nylon tickling is really at it's best when there will be no audience, no time or editing constraints, and you can feel the nylon on your fingers. Feel the laughter vibrating thru the bed or whatever equipment...

Right spot on. And for some reason, tickling in stocks are usually the most fake looking of all. What's the fun of doing bondage tickling when you can easily see that the girl can get out whenever she wants?

If you're going to wear a mask, wear something classy not the halloween mask you pulled out of a box. I think it would be really hot if a guy tickled a girl while he was dressed in slacks, a nice, crisp dress shirt and masquerade mask.

Excellent points. And, now that I think on it, you're right. I don't recall seeing any videos where a female tickler wore a mask.
