A (Re)Introduction so to speak

I posted a intro what seems like a blue moon ago but never followed up, figured why not post another one.

My name is Jason, 21 year old male college student out of chicago(part of my time on southside of chicago, other part at school in dekalb)

Been mostly a lurker, commenting here and there, been a part of this group for a while tho,i forget how long exactly, migrated from the mousepad forum to tmf to here(although still a member of all 3) and being xmas break and the extreme bordom that comes with it, i decided to delurk again, prob will go back into my lurk\hobbit mode but untill then....

Hm, dunno what much to say, Into music, metal mainly but pretty much any music at all except teen bop\boy band tripe....but more obsessively into a finnish love metal band called H.I.M(if u watch anything related to bam margera, you've heard their music) Also in the feeble process of learning guitar...i dunno..is it bad after day one you start looking to how much a new guitar will fetch you? Also into Punk but the old stuff, misfits, gg allin, black flag, sonic youth, etc. Speaking of which, best rockumentary ever=spinal tap 😛

Also as my icon states im somewhat obsessed with Buffy the vampire slayer(first watched cuz i saw lesbians, sex and killing but now i enjoy it for the storylines...REALLY!) and pretty much into all things. Also into anime, naruto, dbz, ghost in the shell, vampire hunter d, and others.FAMILY GUY may not be anime but it is the best running show on any network and ha ha to fox for canceling them years ago. Big sports fan, mainly baseball and hockey(hence the boredom 🙁)

Currently feeding my addiction of tattoos, got 2 and was planning on my third this week but thats being postponed till my bday in feb.

Hmm...thats all i got to say bout that then i guess....questions inquire below i guess

Also i dig yer icon despite not liking the movie all too well, i did like the unique take on the frankenstein monster tho

Lets see, it depends. Theres different anime for different things.

The best psychological thriller I have is Neon Genesis Evangelion. Its an action drama thats really multi-faceted and more than it appears to be on the surface.

As for Dracula, I liked the way they played him out in Van Helsing and his appearance, etc. The classic version is nice too, but this one is more refined and majestic. And the fact he had three brides was pretty cool. Josie Maran (one of my favorite super models) actually played Marishka, the first bride that was defeated. I didn't know it was her until I saw the bonus features on the disc.

i was very saddened when marishka died first(always the ones i like best die first) Plus she had a nice cackle that reminds me alot of the game "Devil may cry"

I prefer dbz, Big O, i havent had much time to get into neon genesis, i did like gundam wing, also i am a big fan of the 2 vampire hunter 2 movies

I didnt like van helsing cuz of the unreality of the weapons and such...yes its a fantasy movie but hell, the van helsing of anthony hopkins didnt need no chainsaw blades to defeat a bride or a machine gun crossbow lol

Although i give danzig his props, i personally liked the vocals of Only and Graves when they took over. They seemed to just put more energy into the singing which complimented the energetic music already

I love the Big O, I have both seasons as well. ^^ Although, Big O is sort of a rip-off of Evangelion. Most current giant robot type shows are trying to be Evangelion, its so obvious from the mechas themselves to the characters. But still the Big O is unique enough thats its approached differently.

As for Van Helsing, I think they did a good job of implimenting new age weoponry fit for the time period this takes place in. The bolt thrower was pretty cool, but the razor blades were pretty dumb and unbelievable. Its like it was TOO modern, you know?

Plus their soundtrack in their movie pretty much represents the 80s like iron eagle did.
