Since his red hot start, many have wondered how Patrick Mahomes would deal with adversity. He answered that question last night on the national stage. In one of the most hostile environments the NFL has to offer he led two fourth quarter touchdown drives to beat Denver 27-23. Kareem Hunt had a great game with 121 rushing yards on 19 carries and a score, adding three catches for 54 yards. More please. Shut out in the first half Travis Kelce responded with 7 catches and a TD. The defense gave up too many big plays again but also forced multiple three and outs. Safety Eric Murray snuffed out one drive with an unbelievable interception. This is the first time since 2004 Denver has lost at home while leading by 10 or more points in the 4th quarter.

Things don't get easier the next four games. The Jaguars visit Arrowhead next Sunday. It's safe to say the crowd will be large and loud. If the Chiefs jump out to an early lead the Jags may not be able to hear themselves think. Then KC goes to New England before returning home to host the Bengals and Denver.

Mahomes doesn't seem to rattle easy. He keeps a cool head, innovates well, can make ALL the throws, even the left-handed ones, and he can scramble, and keep the play alive. It'll be interesting to see if he can keep it up. He has so many weapons as you said. Kelce didn't get involved until the second half and Hunt was sporadic during the game, but he delivered when it counted with big plays. I have a feeling if they can get past the Jags and the Pats, the sky may be the limit.

The defense is still suspect, but, they made the plays when they had to. And yes, Bugman, that Murray interception was incredible.
