A thought I have pondered.

If most pornlike content is clearly labeled, what makes it so horrible for minors to see the nonporn qualities of websites like this? Does tickling hold that much of a stigmata? Most of the core tickling is just, like the name suggests, people being tickled. Especially in scenes in which these relationships between ler and lee are not sexual nor pornographic, then why reserve it from the eyes of minors?

Isn't that the same case with violence? Young children are legally allowed to watch murders, graphic violence, and all other things with their parent's consent, and sometimes even without due to mainstream tv. These things are, in my opinion, far worse then tickling.

But gosh, look at me. Ranting on and on. I really must try and not do that. Lol.

Anyways, what'er your thoughts on this topic? It's something I've been thinking about for a long time.

Why does western culture have taboos on sex, while it is way more lenient on violence?

Europe is a bit less strict about that - but it really depends on the country you live in.

At any rate, if you are asking to let minors in, I'd vote AGAINST.

I feel adults need a place to kick back without worrying about kids.

To many of us tickling is a fetish; something related to sex [even in an unseen, implied way].
Until culture will realize sex has never killed anybody [safe, consensual, sane sex, that is...] we'll have to cope with it. And keep minors out.

I know it might sound unnecessarility strict - but I can further elaborate on it. 🙂

i don't see how the Tickle Theater website though can really regulate Age's here at all? because i mean if some younger person or a person that is still a teenager ( Under 18) and wants to Join this website because they enjoy Tickling in a non sexual way lets say and they wanna discuss Tickling with others on here? there still Gonna join. no matter what really. no matter if it says you gotta be 18 years or older to Join this website or not anyways.

I can see the point - but I'd even say sex shouldn't be something for minors.

I'm not advocating pedophily, mind you! I just realize most people start feeling sexual desire well before 18 years old.

This said, I do not feel TT should make an underage forum for several legal reasons.

I would rather suggest making something COMPLETELY different. Something not related in any way to 18+ sites.

But I feel we shouldn't let minors in under any circumstances.

Another forum altogether? Ok. Keep the adults out, though.
A subforum under TT seems looking for troubles.

Saying minors sneak in despite all doesn't mean it is right! It only goes to show it is near impossible to check everything on the web, and only gives shots to mass-control advocates.

Sorry but I really mean it: keep the minors out before someone starts IMPOSING some controlling system to free forums as well.

No, there isn't anyway to really restict minors from coming here and I'm sure there are minors here all the time! Unfortunately there are many legal reasons why they can't be allowed to openly discuss tickling OR any matters of sexuality which is really a shame. Unfortunately TT's hands are tied where that is concerened (no pun intended) and for now their only opetion is to wait until they reach the magical age of 18 to post and make themselves known.
Speaking for myself anyway it was always a comfort to me just being able to come to sites like this when I was still underage and knowing I wasn't all alone.

That's quite a problem for a teenager - especially if his/her sexuality has the added "burden" of a fetish or two.

I call it burden 'cause most of us felt weird somehow, somewhere, somewhen [does it really exist? Sometimes! 😀 ].

Something friendly and open-minded would really help.
So would sites speaking of sexual matters in a different way than your average vicar, school counselor or radio-shrink.

Yet, sex and open mindedness don't really get along well right now. You either get sex and the city [ 😉 ] or chastity and guns all along.

Vampire...unfortunately for all involved to avoid legal problems the only way for minors to talk about things of that nature os to talk to OTHER minors via chat rooms, etc. If an adult were to participate they would be opening themselves up to all sorts of problems, whether they were perfectly innocent in their conversation or not. I believe there are sites out there in which minors can openly and freely discuss matters of sexuality however.

There are several pros and cons - but I don't feel this site should come up with an answer.

Leaving it out to psychologists would turn tickling in some clinic-case fetish... a derogatory term in itself...

So I can only suppose we should let tickle trickle [er...] slowly into mainstream, to the point they start to recognize it as a kind of sexual habit. Maybe less questionable than other I won't care to mention [just out of political correctness, just for a change! 😀 ].

Problem is: once it becomes mainstream, media will wrestle it out of our hands, and abuse it to make even more captivating advertisement, and the like - or to censor it like vanilla sex.

Think of it: since tickling is NOT widely recognized as a fetish, most networks do not care to censor it [italian Media$et network is another matter, though...].
And most tickle fetishists are more resistant to sexual ads, since they are turned on by different scenarios.

Personally I'm glad ads [or virii, or anything] cannot ply me as easily as they would like.
On the other hand, most [male] non-fetishists are less resistant to common sexual messages.

i agree about the kids website. Your idea sounds much better and more fun then the TMF way of going about it did. But even then thier would still be thoses perverts and sick people out thier trying to hook Teens and pre-Teens into thier sick and sexual trap on any kind of site like that. That is always the down fall of the internet is there will always be perverts and sick o's and low lifes out there trying to rape and have sex and even more horrible things with Teen and Pre-Teen boy's and girl's.

If I may put in my own 2 cents I worry about minors going to these pages esp. now that I have kids of my own. You're right about the over 18 question not stopping them and I really like the idea of a separate tame site for kids. It's just a matter of time before some kids have to try the things that they see or read about, (monkey-see, monkey-do) esp. the idea of rape-tickling and you know kids take things way too far. How will we all feel when the media gets a hold on that story and blows it way out of proportion-they'd probably twist the truth (like always) and call it "tickling-rape" with the emphasis on the word rape and then some bleeding heart will say, "what about the children" and start sueing everyone including TT. It just takes one person to ruin a good thing for everyone else....
Another thought, can you imagine explaining rape-tickling to your own daughter or son because it got into the media and now gangs of kids are trying it? Or worrying that it might happen to your daughter or son?

Yeah, I like the gov't out of my life as much as possible as well. And I would have to admit that I'm acting like every other parent by wanting someone else to watch out for my kids. But think of it this way, if things did get out of hand in a similar scenario to which I mentioned before, isn't completely controlled, regulated, and monitored or worse -shut down- what you would get? I'm grateful for things like driver's licenses etc. to control us because the human race seems to not have much self-control.

I used to get pop-ups and stuff, about the government and whoever, trying to make it so you had to have software on your computer, so they could monitor everything you did. Most pop-ups were about stopping it, so yay 😀

I am pretty sure, since that was a couple years ago, that it's not going to happen, hehe.
