Young forces of TT are here to pump your thread up!

And no, Izzy, I don't place onions on that.

^ silly it's a joke...

pump up the volume...pump up the volume...tuna is good for the muscles..the soul....the sole..oo wait..sole is another type of fish...

What's the fuss about onions?
Over Britain they have onions rings, and France is renowned for the onion soups.
You don't swallow the whole thing raw in one go...

...

And, really, no, spaghetti with meatballs is not by any means something you can routinely have throughout Italy.
Only some areas actually cook meatballs like that; most other regions get ragout sauce instead.

...

Widely ignored fact: rice is actually more plentiful than pasta in some of the northernmost regions of Italy, too.

😉

I don't like tuna. There's not a lot that I've found that can be done with it that I enjoy. Tuna salad? No. I don't like any of the so-called "salads". That is, chicken salad, potato salad, tuna salad, crud salad.

After that, what can ya do with it? Tuna cassarole? Might be good as long as it doesn't have vile ingredients in it.

The thing is that tuna is usually combined with vile things in vile ways. Combinations of foods that in my opinion, are not appetizing.

i've made my own tuna salad for years...i add two tablespoons of pickle juice and two tablespoons of miracle whip..that's it..and eat them on six unsalted crackers..my big meal of the day...

o and Kalamos..i once threw up eight times after eating onion rings that were not cooked all the way...yuck..

I'm so freaking awesome, I just made tuna salad that Jim stomached. He even went back for seconds.

God, I kick ass in the kitchen.

and she cooks! is there anything Sammi can't do?😉

So, we've heard Izzy's vile concoction. What are everyone else's ingredients for a successful tuna salad?

When I made the salad today, it was 2 packets (not tins, but the little packages) of tuna, about 4 heaping teaspoons of mayo, some fresh chopped green onion, a teaspoon of pickle brine, and teaspoon or so of parmesan, and a dash of chopped parsley. Made 4 sandwiches. n_n

Mine usually consists merely of a packet or can of tuna(I'm not as picky as Izzy on the whole oil vs water question), about two good tablespoons of sweet relish(the only use I've ever found for the otherwise vile ingredient), and of course a good dollop of mayo/salad-dressing.

If I have the ingredients around, I'll sometimes add some finely minced celery, or alittle ginger, or some onion, or even alittle minced garlic. Of course, I'm one of those people who could add garlic to Fruit Loops and be in heaven, such is my love of the stuff...

Nothing, I don't agree with garlic much.
Don't mind my preferences.
They are of little consequence to the current flow of posts.

...

I'll be taking a few notes on relish, though.
Could come in handy.

🙂
