Man, I kind of want to believe it's an elaborate hoax, but it looks like this is the real deal. They're saying it looks like suicide, which I would NOT have seen from him, but then you never know.

His latest show was cancelled and he had checked into alcohol rehab in July (again?). The cause of death is apparently listed as asphyxiation.

^The latest news is that death was from suicide with a belt around his neck.^

A man who brought laughter to so many people was possessed by inner demons.

RIP ROBIN WILLIAMS.

His wife also revealed he had recently been diagnosed with the beginning of Parkinson's disease. The truth is no one will know what went through his head as he committed his final act. He will be sorely missed. But at least we have his recordings to remember him by and celebrate his comedic and dramatic achievements.

So true, sadly, even if he did leave a note which, last I heard, apparently he didn't. I've also seen speculation that his clinical depression, if indeed he suffered from it, might have been intensified by the aftereffects of his aortic valve replacement. My father also had a number of heart surgeries and procedures, and we noted how those often wreaked havoc on his emotional stability afterward, though those effects tended to be temporary, not long-term.

I think it's a shame that he felt he had to committed suicide. He was very funny & very talented. R.I.P. Robin Williams, you will be missed.
