Advice please

Hi all,
so I been dating this girl for a while and it was going great, but I havent heared from her in a month now. She lives pretty far away wich is a problem. I emailed but 9 days later, no reply. Maybe I'm blowing this outta proportion but I dunno what to do.
So I guess my question is.....
when your partner gives you the silent treatment, do you give it to em back or wait it out?

Something is definitely up, but I wouldn't suggest giving her the silent treatment in return. That really does no one any good. I still remember my first love, when I was 16, doing that to me and it hurt like hell. Since you have already contacted her, expressing concern over the situation but haven't heard anything in return in quite a while, it's probably necessary to simply move on. And yeah, I am totally aware of how much that sucks. If you're lucky, perhaps she'll offer you some sort of explanation down the line.

First off, dont rely on emails and frigging test messeges. CALL HER ON THE PHONE, its a neat invention that lets you speak to people that are far away. 🙂 Kidding aside, seriously, call her. Tell her since its been over a month since you heard from her the least she could do is to tell you herself that she is no longer interested instead of ignoring you.

But, for any of us to give any real advice, you need to tell us somethings.

How long have you known her?
How long have you dated?
How often would you see each other.
Age of both of you.
Jobs/school?

We dated scince October 2008
when we finished school she moved so we would
see eachother when she could afford the train fare
I'm now 19, she's 18
We both go to different colleges.

Given that you have known her for that long, it seems really cruel to me that she wouldn't offer you any sort of explanation. I do hope you find the answers that you seek.

Methinks she could be incommunicado for some legit reason (bonecrushing load of schoolwork, insane employment requirements, being stalked by space aliens or mob hit men, etc.), although if it were me, I would at least call, e-mail or snail-mail and let you know that you hadn't been forgotten. Unfortunately, the possibility that you've been summarily (and impolitely) kicked to the proverbial curb cannot be ruled out. In which case you have my condolences. This is behavior unbecoming to the kind of long-time friend she was. Perhaps she believes that having a long-distance relationship won't work out for the two of you, though that doesn't excuse her dropping off the radar like this.

See... you should've given us the whole story to start with. Someone you've known that long is likely just busy as a couple of folks just said. I thought it was just some random girlfriend!
