(shrugs) If they want to steal other people's artwork and take work away from starving artists then by all means go right ahead.
Honestly, I am not clear how AI generators work.
How they parse existing artwork; whether they copy actual bits and paste recognizable portions.
Or artists are actually training AI by using AI-assisted programs.
As you said yourself on another thread there is no stopping AI, right now.
I am not even sure about the "starving artist" argument either.
Even conventional art is becoming more and more similar, with anime style being extremely popular with viewers.
If anything, it's an artist eat artist world at the moment.
They say most artists will stop doing it and find another job, or just do it as a hobby.
And few conventional artists will survive, probably mixing AI with human-generated art.
I can love it. I can hate it.
Won't probably change a thing.
I can try and ride it, see if I can learn something new or at least have fun while doing it.
