interesting someone mentioned higgins. did anyone know he's american? i wonder if he actually fooled any real brits out there? also, george costanza is right on the money. whoever listed him has won. carroll o'connor, as great as archie was(and believe me, that's my favorite show), did a great job of bringing rod steiger's character chief gilespee to prime time. ironic, then, that when he threatened to leave all in the family, they were going to replace him with rod steiger. i have WAY to much time on my hands. and alan alda was a good choice. funny to watch the movie and see hawkeye played by donald sutherland.

Homer Simpson. The only American character that's both original and funny. He's that type of person you have inside you. Mind you, I thought many of you would ignore the British-based characters. Never heard of Basil Fawlty, then?

if we're gonna talk british tv, then i can't imagine vyvyan, neil, mike and (p)rick as anyone else. especially ade edmondson. come to think of it, i can't imagine alexei sayle as just one character. brilliant, brilliant
