Hey guys,

I know hardly anyone knows who I am let alone who would care really, but my girlfriend left me and of course this is sad but sad in a new way to me. She was the first girl capable of tickling my feet and getting a response from me. I have no idea how I was so receptive to her. It really sucks, I liked her a lot. Claims to still love me and says that we just weren't ready for eachother and stays in contact with me. This is really weird in that it's new to me. She is still really happy to see me and all kisses my neck to say bye. I have no idea what to do. This has never happeded before, but I know I don't want to let her get away. Maybe wrong place to post but it had tickling in it. Any women or insightful guys wanna help me out. It just hit me today that she's gone....

You have my condolences friend. Same thing kinda happened to me recently. First decent relationship (i/e she WASN'T out of her friggin' mind) in two years and what happens? her ex gets out of prison and i get ditched. Sooooo the Crusader here is back to playing therapist to everybody else...I hate that. Sooooo much.

Not long ago I said goodbye to someone who I loved very much but who had issues too major to ignore, which she apparently was simply not into resolving. Hurt worse than the worst toothache (and I've had one), but there it was. Whatever held you guys together (at least on her end) is gone. It's no use trying to hold onto something or someone who isn't into being held onto or who isn't good for you.

What's to like about it?

FWIW, if she's dumped you for someone who's gotten sent to jail for anything other than say, shoplifting or penny-ante drug possession, you're better off without her. Sounds crass to say it, I know, but that's how I see it.

Hey. I know how you feel. I got dumped the last week of this past August while we were on vacation together. It hurt like hell. I thought I was going to marry her. She was the 1st girl I dated that I had no doubts in my mind about marrying. She told me things changed and that she didn't have feelings for me anymore. That hurt me more than any broken bone, knife slash, punch or kick I've suffered. All I can say is that fighting for someone you love is commendable but if it's clear that she doesn't want to be with you then you're fighting a battle that can't be won. You've got to let go. If I can get through it I know you can.

It's true, sometimes feelings just change, no matter how much one wishes they didn't and that things could be as they always were sometimes there is nothing that can be done. Breaking up is never easy, but then again that's the risks of dating, sometimes you end up with the perfect match and sometimes you end up with people that will take advantage of you. It's all a learning experience an a painful one at that, just don't let it eat you inside. It's not the end of the world, though it feel pretty close to it. You just have to grow from this experience and learn from it, and with that you will have grown a little bit more inside.
