You know, the last time someone put a non-anime pic on here, this thread almost died. I'm not saying get rid of it but try creating a "Cartoon Feet" thread.

Anime is Japanese for animation. Animation includes both Japanese and American animation. Cartoons can be posted here just as freely as Japanimation.

Whether "anime" means animation in Japanese is irrelevant in this case.
Since most cartoons that came from Japan are called "anime," that means the central topic here are JAPANESE CARTOONS, which it was from the BEGINNING.
The fact that you're using the TRANSLATION as an excuse to say that we should post anything here is actually quite amusing.
As said before, when this topic started, it's central focus was the feet of girls from JAPANESE cartoons, not AMERICAN or EUROPEAN (Some anime-inspired animation, such as Avatar, Totally Spies, etc., are an exception).

For people posting American cartoon feet, this is an American forum, frequented mainly by Americans, and in America, the term anime is commonly used to refer to anything pertaining to Japanese animation and manga comics. If you see a thread entitled "anime feet," that's what the OP is asking for, and that's what a majority of people in here want to see. Fuck you and your "technically anime is a Japanese word that refers to ALL animation" bullshit, you know what we mean, you pretentious cockass. Take your shit and GTFO.

For people whining and griping about how this is a ZOMG ANIMU thread, suck it up and scroll past, and don't click on shit you don't want to see. It's that fucking easy. Don't complain incessantly about it like a bunch of fatass neckbeards unless the thread segues into nothing but cartoon shit, in which case the thread has been officially derailed and it becomes an issue. As it stands now, the thread is still over 9000% anime, so you have nothing to whine about. Also, while you're at it, if you're so vehemently against non-Japanese art being posted in this thread, quit posting Teen Titans, Avatar: the Last Buttfucker, and Totally Spies shit in here, since the former two are American, and the latter is fucking French. Those shows are horrendous wastes of time anyway.

in japan anime means cartoons, im america anime means japanese cartoons. just like in europe futball means soccer and in america soccer means soccer, words are case sensitive when referring to language. in short, in this case zeratul is right, anime belongs in anime threads, cartoons belong in cartoon threads, and you people have to stop being so god damn hyper-critical.

but before I digress, I'll agree with Zeratul's first long paragraph, the second is mostly opinion...I'll agree "toon" and "anime" should be seperated, but it should'nt be too intolerable if someone posts one or two on occasion here. Plus some people still accept anime-INSPIRED shows as anime in some sense since it's still inspired by the Japanese style of drawing cartoons. Plus there's absolutely no need for the excessive cursing or needless bashing of shows that others may like, but what you might not.
