If your able to draw relatively well yourself then there shouldn't be so much of a need to depend on the art of other people I think. Of course, some people draw so incredibly well that it can be very daunting.

Anyway, Mr Roboto, you seem to be fairly knowledgable when it comes to Avatar, do you happen to know of any scenes where Katara is barefoot? I know that Toph goes round barefoot all the time because she is blind, but I've became rather attached to Katara myself.

I am a very talented illustrator, but I have no desire to mix my art with this 'hidden passion' of mine. That, and in terms of sexuality, I don't find my art as attractive as the art of others, so to speak. It's not as fun when you can instantly decide when a character is barefoot, ticklish, etc. Takes all the mystery and situation out of scenario. S'kind of hard to explain, but I'm sure many artists share similar views.

yeah I remember making that fourth pic awhile ago, nice scene I especially like the sandal close ups of that character posted lately.

I'm an artist too, so I understand what you're saying. There are some fetishes I won't draw and am not interested in. Although, I've never had a problem mixing feet and tickling with my art because I'm able to decide whether it has fetish undertones or not. Unless it was a request, the tickling and feet would have been ambiguous to the theme of the picture and it's not something that would have been seen as out of the ordinary or odd by anyone I share it with (and by anyone I mean people on art sites, etc.) Not that I care whether such a picture rouses suspicion. Whenever someone asks me, I'm honest and straight forward with them- I think tickling is cute, and I like drawing feet. I sometimes go into detail about it and tell them everything I'd tell any of you guys. Although, I guess thats easy for me to say, since this type of thing is not a focus in my work, I don't draw it often, and my fetishes are not sexual. I guess I don't have that same liability and fear as some people do.

It's mostly that I like seeing characters that I have no control over. All the fun is taken out of tickling art if I instantly decide where the character is ticklish and stuff like that. Probably the most important factor in a tickling picture, personally, is the fact that it's not my character, so it's a pleasant surprise to find out how the artist portrayed that character in terms of where and how sensitive they are. And I'm not really fearful of my fetish, so to speak. I don't go around and tell everybody I know what kind of stuff I'm into, but if they found out, I wouldn't deny it.

I just don't like mixing sexual activities into certain things, like my art, writing, and... well, pretty much anything. But that's because I'm not a sexual person at all.

But anyway, sorry for derailing the thread off topic.

y'know, I don't think I'll mind the occasional western cartoons on this thread, since it's been awfully slow finding new material from manga or other obscure anime we might've not heard about, some western cartoon images could be some decent filler.

as for the whole thing of putting fetishy stuff in your own artwork...I can understand as well, though I do the fetish stuff on occasion to please some of the fans...heck, it might attract people to like my artwork in general if I toss in some fanservice on occasion...it's happened before to me, I watched the old TMNT show expecting and hoping for a tickle scene every episode and I eventually grew to love the show itself.

Wow, those pics look absolutely incredible, especially the Air Gear ones I have to say. If there is an anime of that I really need to see it, though it seems to me like another one of those animes which likes to screw around with your mind. of course I could be misreading it, the guy with a TV for a head reminded me of the character from FLCL.

Yeah, Air Gear has an anime, but it isn't exactly like the manga.

And despite a slightly less convoluted plot (definately a good thing), it shares a fair amount of FLCL's quirkyness (as if a show about teens who battle eachother using rollerskates to fly couldn't be quirky.)
