Heya all!
Ok, I know this is by no means that good, but this is my first proper completely original picture, so I want to hear suggestions and critisism. 🙂 . Tell me where I've gone wrong and what I need to do next time... Thankies!
You know, this really isn't bad. The proportions seem mostly natural, and you took some time with the shading. There are probably real women you could superimpose on it and fit.
I only ever draw with pencil, with a few exceptions (here's an exception that never got finished). It's a lot easier to do lines that aren't straight or predictable with pencil. The lines don't have to "start here" and "end there". I guess that's one of the main things I notice about lots of the art here, the contours seem too easy. Like something was drawn from a description.
Sometimes- especially when I've gotten high, which I don't do anymore- I'll let go and try to draw as impressionistically as possible. Making curves that represent heads or other things, letting the pencil kind of swirl around. The brain tends to make the simplest possible figure out of what it perceives (the Law of Pragnanz, interesting stuff), so you can leave a lot out and still trigger the effect, if it's easier to recognize the whole than to log all the parts. When I have been high, everything was greatly exaggerated, but still really erotic when I saw it later.
If this is like a real goal for you, I think you should try some exercises. Try drawing without connecting any lines, just hinting at connections. Then maybe go back and fill them in. Or try drawing with lots of curls, nothing straight. Or increase your pixel size and draw with lines too thick to be lines, see if you can make a figure. Not too demanding, and sometimes you surprise yourself.
Aside- There's a famous quote regarding Michelangelo, don't know if he really said it or not. Something about when he was sculpting, he felt like he was merely releasing figures that were already inside the stone. Pretty Zen for a Renaissance Italian.
Keep posting.
