Does anybody here watch Anime? and if so then what Animes do you watch? Any favorites? Because im just thinking about getting into Anime. im thinking your never two old to start watching it right! so im just wanting your feedback from thoses that do watch Anime. Right now im Downloading Vampire Hunter D off of kazaa Lite++ because i heard it was a Great horror Anime type genre.

Vampire Hunter D is TOTALY good and has a great twist ending (though I won't spoil it for U). Ninja Scrolls is another realy good one. A lot of people rave about Akira, but I personally didn't like it. Devil Man too is realy good, but I can only find the first 2. But anyway...Yes anime totaly ROCKS!

Be a good anime fan and BUY THE DVD'S TOO, the only excuse not to do this is when aquiring fansubs or ripping tickle clips from them XD

I heard that Vampire Hunter D was one of the worst anime's ever made but I liked it when I watched it :-/

Hmm, I've watched quite a bit of anime, but my favorites have ended up being Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2 and Slayers.
 
Well, I've seen a bunch, but some of my faves have been:

Inuyasha: Great story, set in fuedal Japan, complete with demons galore. Dynamic characters, from a half-demon to a reincarnated priestess to a monk with a hell hole in his hand.

Excel Saga: Insanity. Total insanity. Must see if you enjoy a bout of craziness.

Trigun: Story, characters, conflicts, all superb. Set as a sort of futuristic western on another planet.

Hellsing: Vampires, shadows, and darkness. Plus, British. ^.^ Excellent Vampire action series.

Cowboy Bebop: It's just unbelievable. A must see.

Love Hina: Comedy, romantic relasionships, quite a bit of insanity. All around great.


That's a few, but there are many more out there.

Cute Humor/Romance - Love Hina, Ah! My Goddess, Kimgura Orange Road
Sword/Sorcery - Record of the Lodoss Wars, .hack/SIGN
Fighting/Horror - Inuyasha

But... even bad anime is pretty darn good!!!

Indeed, that it is. I can't believe I forgot to mention Excel Saga! One of the funniest things I've ever seen. ^_^

Escaflowne, RahXephon... those are my favorite, i've seen lots more but not enough to have a real opinion on anime, but storywise and artisticly, those 2 are my favorites
 
Im started with X as my first series but im thinking about after that series is Done with. im thinking about moving to either Love Hina or Chopbits or even Burn up Excess(if its any Good that is)

im kinda wanted to stay more into the comedy/Girly anime

If you want comedy, then Ranma 1/2 and Excel Saga are probably good choices. And there's nothing wrong with girly anime. >_> I like Sailor Moon...

oh yeah and if you havent seen it. I recommend Fatal fury the motion picture. Its a fantastic story. Same characters from the game, but it has a unique story line.

What can I say, I don't know too many animes, but from what I've seen so far, I like it. My favs are: dragonball, dragon ball z, gt, all gundams, and inu yasha. i think thats it. oh and i had a pokemon period . . . . but thats it.
 
the overall best anime I've seen is....

"Grave of the Fireflies": the most depressing, but powerful, anime ever. It's about the struggles of two orphans that try to survive in Japan during WWII. Even Roger Ebert includes it in his top 10 movies of all time.

"Wonderful Days" is also really good. The CGI in this one is simply amazing, but the only way I even saw it was by downloading it from IRC. I had to download a special program to get English subtitles for it (it's in Korean).

"Ghost in the Shell," "Blood," and "Record of Lodoss War" are all good as well.
