Ah, I see. I really should go up there in July or August when it is 95 degrees and humid here. (That is about 35[sup]o[/sup]C.)

^ They're from literally everywhere! The place I live is known as the iceberg capital of the world so it's no wonder why we get so many tourists. 🙂

Ah, then your job should be interesting in terms of meeting different people from all over. 😀
Alaska has made a tourist attraction out of glaciers, so why not icebergs?

So obviously your area must thrive on tourism, but how do the locals feel about the tourists? I'm sure you're just fine with them if you're clearing some nice cash each shift! But at the same time, I know tourist spots and they can be rife with rich dicks.

^ Well I haven't had any experience with tourists yet. I've only just started working but my first real day of work is not until Sunday. Tourists don't really start showing up until the end of this month. The tips are gonna be absolutely amazing (got $30 tips from barely doing anything last Sunday) so I can't complain! The tourists are the ones who leave the biggest tips. I'm sure I'm going to encounter a few assholes but there are plenty of those from my town already!!!

What I find very striking looking at a map of those islands is that a narrow body of water separating two islands is called a TICKLE. 😀
Do you know how that name came about?

Seems like I'm gonna like it! I'm off all this week and my actual training will be all next week. From the one day that I did work I managed to get $30 tips for barely doing a thing. It wasn't even very busy then either!
