Actually, yeah, I do remember that post, now that ya reminded me of it. The old guy in me showin' through, mightily, in that post.
There's no hurry to attending. Heck, anyone who CAN'T understand has either forgotten the nervousness of such an event, or is one of those rare folks (like me) who doesn't sweat meeting new folks OR outting themselves.
Since that time, though, there have also been gatherings galore. There's t'be another one in the Silicon Valley in the fall. I do encourage attending it, as well as attending a munch beforehand, so you know someone going in. Sac's gonna have another event soon, as is LA, too, so you have holiday locations galore.
When you feel comfortable with it, it's there, thankfully. 😉
