Everytime I go into my Tickling clips folder through My Computer icon or any windows explorer way I get a "Microsoft
Explorer has encountered an error and needs to be closed".

Is it a problem with one of my options in my right click menu?
Is it a problem with one of the files in the folder?

Could be a problem with IE, a corrupt file perhaps. Possibly might help if you ran a scandisc and make sure it's set to automatically fix errors.

also run a spyware and virus scan on your system, Microsoft has a beta software call microsoft one that will do both, it free for 90 days. also go into tools and do windows update, run the express mode to have any files that your missing from their update services install

Ah, I've seen this before. Tell me, Rajee, is your Clips folder set to display "Thumbnails" of each clip (i.e. a little picture, usually the beginning frame of the video, above the filename) or is it in "Filmstrip" mode (Where a large picture of each file appears at the top)? If it tries to do that and a file or files it tries to thumbnail are corrupt, it will cause Explorer to crash. It is easily fixed, although to find the file will require some work.

To be able to view the folder without crashing it, you merely need to change the folder's view option to something other than "Filmstrip" or "Thumbnails." If you can open the folder and it takes a few moments for Explorer to crash, open it and quickly right-click in some blank, white area of the folder. Go to the "View" option and select "Tiles," "Icons," or whatever, so long as it is not "Thumbnails" or "Filmstrip." You can then view files without crashing explorer.

If, however, Explorer crashes immediately after opening it (Or too swiftly for you to change the view), you may be able to change the view option without opening the folder. To try this, right-click on the folder (Don't open it) and select "Properties." Click the "Customize" tab at the top and look for "What kind of folder do you want?" In that section, change the template to "Documents." This should change the view to to not thumbnailed. If this does not work, let me know and I can find another alternative.

If neither works, it may be another issue entirely. Assuming changing the view DOES work, here's how to find the bad file or files and remove them. Create an empty folder somewhere that you can paste clips from the clips folder into. Set its view to "Thumbnail." Next, you're simply going to select some of the clips in the Clips folder and paste them into the empty one. Do a few at a time, testing the new folder by opening it and viewing the clips' thumbnails. If nothing happens, then the clips you tested are okay. Repeat until a new group trips Explorer. You'll then know which few clips to test, one by one, until you find the bad one. Once found, delete it from both the new folder and the folder you've been testing with. Try opening your clips folder again. Does it work? Then it was just that one file. If it crashes again, you'll have to repeat until you find them all.

Same thing happened to me a good while back. Took forever to find the clip in question, and now I keep it in a safe place until I ket a chance to try and fix it.
