I'm very sorry about your Dad...I only wish that you had a closer, more healthy relationship with him than I do with mine, which, unfortunately, can never improve on the current model.
 
Knox...thank u🙂 Actually the relationship I had with my dad was a strange one but not all that bad....he was a fun person and he had always tickled me like mad and loved to make me laugh...that was a really good experience in human interaction for me...to be tickled so relentlessly and frequently by someone I trusted and loved so much...yet, as in any relationship it had it's downside....for the most part things became superficial between us and it felt like after his and my moms divorce and he remarried that we weren't as close anymore....but I have always regarded it as the way people are...whenever someone has something novel in their life the things or people that they previously "used" to fill time and space take a bit of a back seat, and that prob sounds more harsh and cold than I intend it to mean...it's not always all bad, it's just different....I like to think I understand people pretty well and I know he loved me very much, things just change, I just treat things that occur in life as the acceptable discomforts that they are...life happens to everyone all the time but it is how we react to and respond to it that determines whether we move forward or stay stuck where we are🙂 Besides, I did get tickled pretty severely by him over easter break this year🙂

Why not leave your group and just not update it for a while? (I am not a member, but wished I had known about it!) If anyone knows anything about yahoo groups, some are updated everyday, some once a week, others sporadically, and some started and never updated. Others are started.....and that's it, there's nothing even in them!

Just leave one message telling everyone what's going on, and it will always be there when you feel like coming back later. You are the update master after all, you can update whenever you feel like it! (Don't get too power mad, though....🙂)

So sorry about your dad. My dad died about 5 years ago, and I had to drop out of college and get a job to help my mom wih the bills. Still cleaning floors and busing tables to this day, but I'd rather see her out of debt.
