whoops!!! I was just being silly. I was goofing around with someone in the chatroom, a while back, with that line. I thought it was you.

I told my beloved Daddy that I wasnt going to get in on this "ghost" discussion but I must. For the peeps that dont know me, I have been practicing Witchcraft for the past 13 yrs. The religion known as Wicca. I do have a ghost in my apartment. I know him, he is my nephew who was killed by a drunk driver at age 16. Daddy? You know I love you with all that I am but.......mwaahaahaaa. One day you will not be able to explain it away so logically. Hmm...picture falls off the wall...weak nail. Tapping on your shoulder.....muscle spasm. Shampoo bottles falling OUT of the holder in the shower....must have been a breeze somewhere. Gee Daddy...no windows in the bathroom....no breeze outside. Ever wonder how come I can turn the cooler up and it's nice and cool in the bedroom then a little later you're complaining that it got warm all of a sudden? NO it's not cuz of that either!!! Believe or dont my dearest Daddy but one say soon....there will be no logical explanation....<she flies off on her broom with an evil laugh>. "SURRENDER DADDY"

I listen to a terrific talk radio show called "Coast to Coast," the host's name is Art Bell and the website is www.artbell.com. The show is on every Monday-Friday night and is heard all across America (and then some)! Art and his guests discuss lots of different topics, but ghosts and the paranormal are a frequent topic... in fact, this Wednesday night/Thursday morning (July 3rd/4th) they are going to have alleged RECORDINGS of ghosts!
Thought some of the posters here might find this interesting, as I do...

yes!
i believe whole heartedly that ghosts/spirits are real.
but, i don't believe they can hurt us. to do that they have to be corporeal. and if they can take on substance, then they can be hurt back!

Spirits and souls (not soles...)
The brain, so science has shown, is a biological entity. The mind, however, which by all accounts is a function of the brain, is simply a collection of electromagnetic interactions with synergistic functions - i.e., the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. It is reasonable to assume that there is a soul, as well - however, from whence would the soul derive, and what form would it take? These questions were the exclusive realm of theologists and priests until very recently, but superstring theory and, particularly, hyperspatial studies have opened up new avenues of exploration and (in far greater quantity) speculation. The theory goes that the mind, which retains it's general format for life (barring major accidents), will gradually imprint it's pattern on space-time's higher dimensions, which are "curled" up very small and tight, retaining it's form in hyperspace after death of the biological housing. As a mind is the ulitmate anti-thesis of entropy, however, I don't think such a form would last long without it's biological anchor to sustain it and would soon decay into it's constituent energy. Just my thoughts. (I'm studying superstring theory at the moment- lots of good books on it) 🙂
