One sees my post as Democratically inclined, whilst another sees it as having a Conservative bent.

Good. I made my point! I'm actually niether, but base my opinions and votes upon the issues at hand on a case-by-case basis. I guess you'd say I'm the ultimate Independant.

Thanks for the responses, guys. The things I said go beyond party lines, yet encompass them both...enough to show that these things are about Americans, not Democrats or Republicans.

I have to say that this has been a pretty insightful thread, all told. Thanks for starting it, Hal!

Dave, I'm actually registered as a Democrat but my views now are much more conservative with regards to many issues. I wish there were more people like you that actually thought about the issues rather than strictly going with the party line whether that be Democratic or Republican. Thats what really keeps both parties honest.

As for the UN I think it was a great concept at one time, but has deteoriated into a Anti-US, Anti-Israel syposium. I think it is still salvagable but a lot of work has to be done to get to where it should be. If it continues on its present path I say tear it down and put a giant Wal-Mart there.

You're thinking of Zan and Jayna, the Wonder Twins, and their space monkey Gleek. Also, Wonder Dog was not Spot, he was simply Wonder Dog.

Also, I much prefer the current "Magnificent Seven" roster: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Hawkgirl, and J'onn J'onzz the Martian Manhunter. The new version has succeeeded where none could before: They've made Aquaman hard-core. (He chopped off his own hand to rescue his infant son. That's hard-core.)
