The fourth feature installment in The Terminator series, Terminator: Salvation, is already receiving mixed vibes before its May 2009 release. What people are unhappy about is the lacking of Terminator's significant cast and the cast changes that are coming up.
The plot according to IMDB is "Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind."
Taking role of director is McG; who is known for directing the two Charlie's Angels flicks. James Cameron is not involved.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is obviously not returning due to his duties as Governor. This is the first Terminator to be without his involvement. If you include The Sarah Connor Chronicles that was technically the first Terminator without Arnold.
Christian Bale has the role of 'John Connor'. He is replacing Nick Stahl from Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Eddie Furlong was the original from T:2.
Replacing Claire Danes as 'Kate Connor' from Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is Bryce Dallas Howard.
A young Kyle Reese, Michael Biehn from The Terminator, has gone to Anton Yelchin. Hellan Bonham Carter was also cast in a small role.
How does this new one look to you fellow Terminator fans. Do you think you will be satisfied? Is this one necessary?
