Meph: D: Is medschool really that overrated?
In my opinion, yes, it is. Taken into account I'm completely indifferent to the suffering of the patients and I generally dislike working with people anyway, it sucked the gay right out of Liberace's anus. It's just 6 years of endlessly memorizing facts without learing jack shit about the mechanisms underlying those facts.
Cellbiology course I did during the time I studied medicine basically came down to THE one question of utmost importance:
can you get cancer from that?
If the answer was no, you just didn't have to read that section of the book, because it didn't matter. It's competely focussed on the fact that you will be seeing alot of patients afterwards that they just leave out the science behind it and go straight to the results.
Which is rubbish in my opinion.
But well, if you enjoy spending 6 years in college with annoying fucktards who are mostly really stupid but just have a knack for memorizing books, go ahead. I just lost faith in doctors.
oh yes, before i forget, this is a question thread, so to ask you one:
why do you want to study medicine?
