Do you like German food? I am making cabbage rolls!

I do love German food. I make cabbage rolls too but the Polish way (my grandfather was from Poland).

What crazy fads were popular when you were a teenager?

Oh damn....as a child from the 80's? A ton. Some that I took part in: Jelly shoes, friendship bracelets/pins, neon clothing (I was partial to neon pink and black headbands because I wanted to be Madonna when I was a kid 😀 ), Trapper Keepers, Scratch 'n Sniff Stickers - I can go on and on because there were a ton of fun things happening back then. I miss the 80's. Best time to be a kid. Ever.

Virginia Beach

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?

I would love to be a mommy.

If you HAD to change your name, what would you change it to?

Elizabeth or Abigail. My two favorite names ever.

What is your earliest memory?

Being jealous of my baby sister and grabbing one of her diapers to go potty in. I was probably around 2-3 years old and I peed in one of her diapers. And then I hid it under her crib because I suddenly was petrified that I acted like a baby and not a big girl. No idea why but yeah, that's one of my very first memories. I was a strange child.

Name one thing that not many people know about you.

I've been playing the piano since I was 6 years old and have had the honor of playing for some pretty big events.

At a Kenny Chesney concert.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

Being there with my mother as she took her last breath. I know, it's not a happy event but the profound impact that had on me, being there right as she left this world - I can't really put it into words.

Do you feel you have a purpose or calling in life?

Why yes I do. Bombing threads of folks who live in Texas.

Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets?

Nope.

What type of fruit makes you want to get wild and crazy?

Cherry. I had one once.

What do you think the secret to a good life is?

I don't think that there is a secret. I honestly think people make life harder than it is. Yeah, a lot of us might have it rough now and then but you have two choices, either have a pity party for the rest of your life or just not sweat the small things and enjoy the beauty of those small things. You'll be a much happier person, I promise. Life is going to happen whether or not we want it to - you might as well make the best of it.

What is important to you right now?

Making sure my best friend has the wedding of a lifetime! She lost her mom to lung cancer a month ago but per her mother's wishes, is going to continue to have her big day.

Have you ever tried to change for someone else, why or why not?

Yes, once. I was 20 years old and "in love" and wanted to impress this guy I was with at the time.

I quickly learned that trying to mold yourself into something you're not isn't a good idea. I ended up getting really hurt but I did learn a valuable lesson.

People who love you will love you for WHO you are, not what you are.

What is your favorite song lyric, and why?

"And, in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make" from The End by The Beatles.

And I love it because it kind of reminds me of the saying "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." You give love and you'll be loved in return.

Naughty school girl last year.

Do you know a foreign language?

I have a few that I'm pretty fluent in but I just picked them up as a kid from my grandparents since they preferred talking in their native languages.

Polish and Greek from my grandfathers and I studied French for 6 years throughout high school and college.

Do you feel comfortable with using gas station bathrooms?

Not really but if I have to go, I'll go. I do use a shitload (haha, pun intended) of toilet paper to make a nice little "bird's nest" to sit on.

Have you ever eaten anything strange?

Yep. I'll try pretty much anything once. Got that from my dad - he wasn't keen on picky eaters and my folks weren't those parents that make separate dinners so that the kids will eat. My dad's reasoning was always "if they're hungry, they'll eat." Smart man. 😛

If you were a crayon, what color would you be?

Navy Blue, cause that's my favorite color.

It's very humid but not as hot as Hades.......yet.

People who use their cell phones while checking out in line at the store or gas station or wherever. Hang up the damn phone for two minutes! That's just so rude to me. We all don't have to hear you fighting with the phone company while your having your groceries scanned.

I personally didn't but it was felt by a lot of people here. The University of Pittsburgh has a seismograph and it picked up some moderate activity but I felt nada. Boo.
