Ask Drewskee A Question....

Know of any female friends that have their hair down to the top of their backsides?

If you could be any animal in existance beside human, what would you be?

Haha that's hilarious....so you'd be like a bird of some sort....maybe even a Terradactyl (sp?) that somehow survived the Ice Age?

thanks for the spell check...I forgot that it was available in the far right corner of the Reply box...anyways, do you like country music?

Only older stuff like Johnny Cash. I can't stand the newer stuff. And I've been exposed to a lot of the new stuff. My ex was a country fanatic and listened to it all the damn time. How I managed to not shove forks in my ears at some point is beyond me.

Lol Johnny Cash, eh? (RIP) yeah, I loved the song "A Boy Named Sue"...what is your favorite Johnny Cash song?

"Ring Of Fire", "Cry, Cry, Cry", "I Walk The Line", "Folsom Prison Blues" and basically the whole At Folsom Prison album.

Any other Country "legends" that you care to mention?

He's pretty much the only one that sticks out to me, probably because I've heard more of his stuff. Though I like the few songs I've heard from Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and maybe a couple others.

Did you know that Willie Nelson did a duet with Toby Keith called "I'll Never Smoke Weed (With Willie Again)"?

I think it's available on itunes, not sure.... do you own an ipod?

I still own one, but I never use it....if we were to make some sort of arrangement via mail, would you be interested in buying mine for $10?...it used to cost me $50 but I lost the reciept and the warantee is done and over with

No thanks, though I appreciate the offer. The main reason why I don't have one is because I'm stubborn and somewhat old-fashioned when it comes to technology. I still listen to CDs and even cassette tapes once in a blue moon. Hell, I can't even send or receive pictures on my cell phone. But I'm not complaining.

you and I are a lot alike on this subject...why I decided to try and upgrade to an ipod, I don't know. So next question, what are your musical influences?

Well I don't make music myself, but if you're asking what music speaks to my soul and keeps me going the most, I gotta go with old school soul and hip hop. My tastes are pretty eclectic and I can get down with all different kinds of music, but for the most part it's gotta have some form of soul to grab me. I'd elaborate, but it's moreso something I feel rather than something I can explain in words.

I can understand that. The first style of music that I really "felt" was old school hip/hop and rap. Artists like Warren G, Coolio, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Naughty By Nature...guys like them. Then when me and my family moved down to the States in Georgia, I started liking country music a lil bit more and more with every passing day, especially since the parts that we were living in had nothing but country music stations, with the occaisional rap and pop stations. What kind of music is the overall genre of choice for your radio stations?

I never listen to the radio anymore. However, sometimes when I'm hanging out at my sister's place, I listen to this classic hip hop station on satellite radio. It's all stuff from the '80s and '90s, when they actually played real hip hop on the radio and it didn't suck. Plus there's a ton of variety (very little repetition of songs) and no commercials. If they had a station like that on the regular radio, I'd probably never turn it off.
