I did survive - barely There's no possible way I could give you all the details of the entire weekend - but suffice to say that it was phenomenal. I had an amazing and wonderful time 🙂

I think that whether or not you go to a gathering or munch depends entirely on you, your personality and what you hope to get out of it. If you want to go to an event because you want to spend 3 days getting the crap tickled out of you or vice versa, then I would say that you might want to reconsider your motives, because chances are you could be sorely disappointed. If you want to go because you want to meet some amazing new people, then I think you definitely should take the plunge.

How well received you are as a newbie depends entirely on what you put out there. If you go and you try to be social and polite, chances are astronomically high that you're going to be very well received. If you go there and you're close-minded, insulting or creepy - well then - you get out what you put in, ya know?
