I dunno - I just think he had so much talent. I love his writing, and I love how it much it grabs you. I'd love to meet the man behind it, and see if he was like, a tortured artist or a happy guy with just a knack for writing such dark literature.

I really don't know. When I used to write, I could write stuff that was kind of dark without being emo...but the really good stuff only came when I was really emotionally on the same level as what I was writing.
