I wasn't hit hard in this area, so I can't say how everyone is doing. Insurance claims and rebuilding take time.

This party will be pretty large because this will be a huge accomplishment for me.

Hopkinton State Park. In MA. It's a lovely lake...quite large. I went with my mother.

This was my first time kayaking, but I have been in a canoe several times. I've also done row boating. I have done the paddle boats that you pedal. Is that what you mean?
Yes, I stayed upright. It wasn't in white water rapids. It was on a lake. 😀

Until I was involved in this hurricane, I wasn't exactly sure how to prepare. The storm answered this question.
*fresh batteries of different sizes*
*a fully charged cell phone.*
*a fully charged ipod*
*a refridgerator with nothing in it*
*a gas grill*
*bags of ice in a giant cooler*
*meat in the cooler I can grill outside*
*patience*

All the food in my fridge, and no radio or phone for info because I didn't bother to prepare. How did you fare?

Years ago I bought a kerosene lamp.

A friend bought dry ice for her refrigerator and freezer. (Bags of ice work well too).
