Yea there are two cats. The black and white one Daddy calls Mr Kitty and a all black that seems to be new.

Here there are plenty of rats, almost all of them of the species rattus norvegicus. Is that the kind you have there?

Yea I think so. Mr Kitty does a pretty good job of getting rid of them though. Thats why Daddy lets him hang out all the time in our yard. 🙂

Also known as the brown rat, rattus norvegicus is the most common here in North America in spite of its Latin name (which translates as Norwegian rat).
A smaller subspecies exists in the NYC subway system. Unnatural selection eliminates those high enough to touch the third rail when they scurry under it. 😱

Ick. 😱 I think, fortunately for us, Mr Kitty likes getting rid of all the rats no matter what species they is. 😀 😛

Officially the drought is over... but the "governor" has left all the fines and taxes still there. 🙁
