lol, I'm aware XP The idea is that the prostitute is a victim, so she shouldn't get in trouble with the law for it. Or something, I guess. 😛

But that would be like saying teaching is legal, but hiring a teacher is illegal. It makes no sense. 😕

I'm looking at a site that list dumb laws, and amazingly it lists only 5 stupid laws for Sweden. Did you know that it is illegal to repaint a house without a painting license and the government's permission? One, why do you need a license? And two, why do you need the government's permission? :shock:

Haha, I guess 😛 But the law is targeted at catching the buyer, since they make prostitution pay off in the end. And a lot of the prostitutes here are actually tricked into the country from Russia and other places, being told they're getting a good job and education or some such, so the prostitutes are often taken care of by the police anyway. There was an incident with a native-born prostitute though; normally the police doesn't go after their customers as they're focused on the trafficking-victims, but anyways, she wanted to pay taxes on her income, and the government wouldn't let her. :rowfull:

That last law I had no idea about! 😱 But nobody actually does that as far as I know :rowfull: We repainted our house the other year, and sure as hell didn't fill in any papers! I know you need that if you're adding parts to your house and such though, like if you're building new things on your lawn.

Did you know that in Sweden, you may only own half a meter down in the ground of any land you own? :flatstare:
 
Sweden is weird. This has to be the weirdest law you have:

If you release pigs into a acornwood (or a beechnutwood) mutually owned by you and at least one more, and exceeded your quota of allowed pigs, you will have to pay a fine for each each pig to the other owners and to restore any damages caused by the extra pigs.

Oh well, pigs sure love to dig shit up though, and since there are no trespassing laws on land in Sweden but provided that you leave the forests and such as they were when you got there, I guess it sorta makes sense. It's just weird that there is a specific law like that. :jester:
