Well, right now I think of him more as a solid backup to Gustavsson, instead of Toskala who was plain horrible at times. But we'll see, maybe the change and getting on a new team will do wonders for Giguere. 😀

I'm more excited about Phaneuf though, and that other young D-prospect whose name eludes me right now. XD Sjostrom isn't bad either, for a checking line player that is. Sucks that you had to give up Hagman, but seriously... Phaneuf is WAY more of an impact player, even if he's been struggling this season. 🙂

Hagman was good, but far too streaky... like 15 game disappearing acts, LOL 😀 Hoping Giggy can push and challenge Gustavsson... we haven't had an "A" list goal tender here since Eddie Belfour! 😱 Phaneuf is a VERY welcome addition! All the speculation is still that they want to trade Kaberle, but honestly I don't want to see that happen... I mean, can't go wrong with two All-Star caliber defencement, right? 😀

But you don't win games without scoring... a lot of work left to be done

Well you never know, and I'm not exactly an expert on goalies. XD I heard the management hopes that Giguere will be good enough to be the clear-cut starter, but we'll see I suppose.

And yeah, trading Kaberle would suck, as he seems to be having a career year. I would only really understand it if the Leafs traded him for some good forward prospects and draft picks, but as a defenseman he is basically in his prime now, so...
