Meh, what the hell? He "doesn't even want to say" Lidstrom's name because Phaneuf deserved the Norris more two years ago? XD Sure, Phaneuf had more goals, but he also had 10 points less than Lidstrom in total even though he had played 6 more games. Lids almost scored at a 1 PPG pace, and for that matter, I thought defensemen were supposed to DEFEND well also - something that Lidstrom is almost peerless at. The Don conveniently left all of that out. 🙄

But yeah, I dunno if you remember, but I really don't like the guy. :neenerneener: I think he bashes European players way too often, and while I don't mind the occasional bias (it shows that you're passionate about the sport) the whole "good ol' Canadian boy" vibes I get from Cherry just don't sit well with me. He's a huge hockey profile for sure, but taking Phaneuf ahead of Lidstrom is like taking Heatley instead of Ovechkin. That's not a knock on either Heatley or Phaneuf by any means, but those two players are "only" stars. Lidstrom and Ovechkin are Generational Superstars; it really isn't even close! 😱

I had promised talk to an old classmate on msn, who was feeling a bit depressed. Said classmate has yet to show up though, so I dunno... I might hang out in the SSF for a while though. 🙂
