I'm sorry sorr, but I am just...tired enough to need to read that about 8 times before it makes sense 😛 So I'll give it a shot.

The way I see it, the Metaphor Police may openly operate between a simile and a hard place, and carry concealed synonyms in designated zones only 🙂 But that is just my political opinion. As for overseeing literary devices, I believe this should be left to the people (as our second amendment would imply). It is not the Metaphor Police's place to "take a position" on logical fallacy, this is much a political viewpoint as any other 😛

I'm afraid of picking something ugly, more or less 😛 and it seems like almost a cliche for everyone to have one...guess it's just the non-conformist in me 😛 But if I was to, I would get something bird-related. I have a (mild) obsession with sparrows; they seem beautiful to me.

I've got a lot of fears actually, I'm a definite worrier.

I think I can make two catagories, though 😛

Irrational fears
Bubbles. Don't ask me why, they just freak me out. The large floaty soap-kind is what I'm talking about

Jell-o, because it wiggles when you LOOK at it. It's unnatural and wrong!

Semi-rational fears
Death of someone I care about. I can't explain why I don't fear my own death, but the prospect of my mom dying, or even someone I vaguely know scares me to my core. I don't want someone to leave me or to see anyone suffer 🙁

Hospitals / needles The sterile equipment, smell, those rubber gloves they put on before they stick you...ugh.

Blood Makes me dizzy and sick to see it. I'm never going to be a doctor 😛

Drowning I've had 3 times where I've come very close to drowning. Consequently I have an INTENSE fear of drowning. Once, I got caught under a sail while sailboating. Another time I got caught under a floating dock, and the last time was when I was about 3 and a wave pulled me out to sea and my father had to rescue me.

Tidal waves I think this one might come from the experience of being dragged out by a wave But I went through a period in my childhood where every dream of mine would end in a giant wave washing over me, dragging me under, and smothering me.

I had a time where allll I wanted to do was live in a big city! Now, notsomuch. I'm a quiet/private enough person that the whole being in a big city (even if it's a smaller-ish one) overwhelms me. The pacific and atlantic coast beaches of the united states are lovely, but I'm not really a tropical-island kind of person 😛
That, and the whole fear of drowning thing...

I think overall the mountains are the best for me 😀 I can ski very badly, and I'm a huge snow fan That and I've got naturalist/nature-y person tendencies (or hippie ones--thats for you amandabear 😀 ) that make me happier out in the woods than almost anywhere.

Awww 5 bonus points for you! It's why moving to Colorado was a no brainer for me. The national park is fun to explore and I went from seeing snow twice in my life in the south to actually seeing it every winter! I'm with you on skiing though. I'm pretty sure I killed that old lady on the slope...from laughing at me having what looked like a seizure on two narrow sticks. But the beauty can not be touched.

To appease your love of cooking, could you take an Iron Chef one on one? If you were to, what would you want the secret ingredient to be?
