Average Age?

I'm one of the older members at 58. I would guess that the average age is in the 20's. 😀

No.
Not out of touch with reality because of a mis-estimated age. I called "out of touch with reality" due to that clearly being fact.

"Most older people are not digitally native, and aren't immersed into the internet culture the way younger generations are."

Are you f'ing kidding me? Honey~who exactly do you think RUNS this place? Some superior snot nosed twenty-something like yourself? Who bankrolls all the parties that people your age attend like NEST? Who do you think CREATED the internet that you so clearly take for granted? Ever heard of Bill Gates? Steve Jobs? Your cell phone wasn't even invented when I was your age. And yet somehow, miraculously us old geezers survived. Go on and figure. Get on your knees and worship because without us, your life as you know it wouldn't exist.

And thank you Sandrock for the sweet compliment~all credit goes to the lovely and talented Mimi :smilelove
XOXO

Well said Steph!!! 🙂

I get sick and tired of young kids bursting on to the scene thinking "its all about them".
Half of them them use ridiculous abbreviations in their posts to cover up the fact that they can barely spell. And rarely contribute anything meaningful.

I'm 38 for the record, and don't quite need a walking stick yet!!! :disgust:

Oi! WTF u chatin bout?

😉

LOL

Uh-oh ... may we be on the verge of an age war here on the TMF? :idunno:

I'm 32 ... if that helps w/the data-collection. 'Course , if someone were feeling up to it , they could simply ( heh , "simply" ) go through every profile & get the age of [ almost ] every member here & do a little math to figure out the average age.

So ... anybody got a little extra time on their hands? :manicd:

25 years old. At 16 years old I stumbled onto the tickling world.

underage

all this talk about the underage joiners.
i think the age limit should be 16.
that when teenagers are starting to mature.
they are going to find their fetish around this time and if they search it and fins it then they are shut away from the community.
i really feel for all the teens who have just discovered the tickling world but still have about 3-4 years before they can explore.
we should welcome them into our world.
or else they could get all confused.

where else can they turn.
every other site is 18+!!
they have no way to get in.
and if they get in when they are underage then they will be ostracized on this forum!
LET THEM IN!!!
before you accuse me of being underage; i'm 19

It's not up to the powers that be to reduce the age; because of it's adult content, it's the LAW that users of this site must be over 18 (or over 21 in some areas of the world).
So unfortunately (or not), there's not much that can be done about it.

I'll be 40 in a few weeks. I don't really care about being average... but I would guess the average adult age to be 35.

A 'nuther ol' geezer here raising his decrepit 59 year old hand from the laptop keyboard that I'm typing on 182 miles from home on a remote wireless connection. Just remembering what it was like in the early dawn of the 'net, and we had to create all this stuff, kinky forums and the like from nothing, from scratch.

And I remember it was long enough ago that I was giving Phillip and Molly suggestions on additions they could make to a sequel to their book "Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns". Then Phillip had to up and die on us.

That's okay, we hopefully made the pathway for the 'young'uns' a little bit easier.

Woah!

A couple of regulars ambushing a kid because he wrongly assumed something.

Three cheers for you guys! 😀

Thanks.

By the way, I didn't "ambush" anybody. He said something, I asked for clarification, he confirmed it and that was that as far as I'm concerned.

Perhaps not, but if I was treated in such a way after a mere 14 posts, I doubt I'd come back.

ROTFL!:rotate:
You guys kill me (and I SO love you for it!) :redheart:
I'm glad my special brand of sardonique isn't lost on many of you lovelies! 😉 You get that I was, of course, partially poking fun at the OP to make a point~I have a lot of incredible 20-something friends IRL. But I wanted to bring home a point~be careful people. Your words have meaning.

XOXO

Average age?

I keep seeing 25 as a guess in most replies. I'm here to ratchet that up a notch to 25.1, 38 here.

Yea, i figure it'll be a low number, around 20.

Most older people are not digitally native, and aren't immersed into the internet culture the way younger generations are.

Go tell that to my 60 and 61 year old sisters who run circles around a lot of 20 year olds in the internet culture! And to my 44 year old sister who's a networking genius! And I can at least turn a computer on and off at age 45!

There are exeptions to every rule; being older/more mature allows you to see that!

I'll add some years to the average age. I just turned 56.

yep, this Ol' broad is in my late fifties. And guess what? I work for a company that is at the top of the heap when you talk about the internet, routing, switches and telecommunications. I often work from airports, motels and from racetracks throughout the world on what? A Laptop!

In my day a computer was an 8 block square building that could add, subtract, multiple and divide. It's now grown to the fact that your regular run of the mill laptop has more data and systems in it than we had on our mission to the moon. And yes I remember that too. I watched the astronauts land in the sea and be retrieved by a carrier.

This ol' broad uses the computer literally every day and my 68 year young Fiance uses his every day as well.
