Halterneck refers to a type of women's clothing with a single strap around the back of the neck instead of one over each shoulder. This can either refer to a dress or a top (called a halter top), a type of sleeveless shirt similar to a tank top (in the American English meaning of the phrase).

Halterneck garments are generally considered more provocative because they leave the back free — exposing the shoulder blades.

Ok I waer backless tops (halter tops) for 1 of 2 reasons.... 1- I like my back and like to show it and 2- i hope that whoever im with will reach over and stroke my back lightly and tickle my neck and back!

Mercy, Now I am thinking of some fun moments in the restaurants for munch and other times. Getting up to use the bathroom, so you can walk by the chick in the backless top...............standing behind her in the elevator. Crap I should not be giving you and others such ideas. hehehee
