The barefoot bondage thread has now had over 50,000 views and has over 1400 pictures posted here. Many thanks to everyone for their comments and contributions.
For those of us who are interested in tickling (and here on the TMF I assume that's most of us) we can see there is a natural relationship between bondage and tickling. Let's face it, if you really want to tickle someone, it helps if you have them tied down. And if you enjoy bondage games, tickling is a great way to demonstrate how helpless your bound victim really is. I suspect that this relationship between bondage and tickling is one of the reasons that so many people have stopped by to view this thread.
Some of the pictures on this thread portray a playful bondage setting, while others represent a darker fantasy of bondage and torture. Either way, bondage and tickling deal with the issue of vulnerability. Normally, we don't like to be vulnerable - we like to be protected and we want to keep our defenses up. But in a sexual relationship there comes a point where we have to become vulnerable. We take our clothes off and we expose our most vulnerable areas, physically and psychologically. When we allow someone to tickle us or tie us down (or both) we are expressing our trust in them and making ourselves vulnerable to them. When a bondage model allows herself to be tied down she presents a picture of vulnerability that represents a very powerful sexual image.
