Umm...

Invulnerability, superstrength/speed etc...unless Batman has a hunk of green K wired into his lead covered shorts, it would be a short not sweet little fight...sheeesh. Q

Ya know what...i'm going to have to vote for superman also. This is an actual picture i took of Batman at mardi gras a few years ago. Unless he is taking on a buffet table i don't think he would stand a chance.

(I can say that because i'm not the smallest guy in the world either..heh)

hmmmmm....I guess not many here have read The Dark Knight Strikes Again.....Batman whoops Superman's a$$ in that.....

I feel bad..i just remembered the real darknight resides on this board with us. The picture i have is of an obvious imposter. I change my vote to batman. 🙂

Remember in the Batman/Superman Adventures animated series when Batman came to Metropolis to track down the Joker? Batman was interrogating a bad guy and using that friendly personality to get the guy to talk..if you can call slamming a guy up against a wall friendly...then again, Bats has done meaner stuff. lol

Anyways, Superman rudely interrupts the interrogation and Batman pulls out a piece of Kryptonite that's no bigger than a Playstion memeory card. That's not big..but big enough to cause Supes to get weakened pretty good.

As pointed out by people in other forums, if given enough time to prepare..Batman will DEFINATELY win.

And after Bane broke Batman, Batman swore to himself that he'd never...EVER ...be un-prepared for any situation ever again. So I think Bats would at least kick Supes around real good, if not win. lol

From what I hear about the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie (slated for a Feb 2004 release), the two heroes are trying to solve a grisly series of crimes that crosses into both major cities. Superman's values of "Truth, Justice and the American Way" are seriously challenged by these 21st Century crimes. The two are at each other's throats to solve it in thier own way, but ultimately wind up working together.

I've also heard that Jude Law is on the short-list to play Superman, and I think that he would be a great choice to play the Man of Steel. And though he's not on the list, I've always thought that with a decent haircut, The Rock could portay him rather well...but that's niether here nor there at this point.

If Bruce Wayne had wings...

I vote for Superman, but ONLY 'cuz he can fly-I need that in a superhero. He's too damn nice to really win my heart...

Realistically (if that word can be applied to comics), Batman shouldn't see anything more than a red-and-blue blur before the fight is over. But in truth, it would depend on who was writing the comic.

Oh, and DK2 was festering crud -- although I base that on just the first issue, as I didn't care enough to shell out $16 for the next two.

I'm a Batman fan from way back. 'Sides, the only way the Superman character can be brought to fight is when someone's doin' evil. Batman always has won that, largely 'cause he knows Superman's main weaknesses. Apart from that Kryptonite allergy, Supes is always too bent on "fair", where Batman just gets the job done however is fair for the fight.

Funny, too, 'cause they both fight the same fight. Batman's just more down-'n'-dirty about it. Smarter, too.

Now, if Superman focused on just beatin' the man, he's faster and stronger. He just ain't smarter. Yellow suns apparently don't improve that. 😉

That there's another Bat-flick looming is cool. Dunno how they'll get past the stigma of a Superman in it that ain't Reeves, but Jude Law, wit' blackened hair, would likely do well.

Ah, child-like joys...

Good save Prime! lol

Sorry but Batman can be a dirty fighter when he needs too and damn it, he's my hero so he gets my vote. Don't get me wrong, Supes is da man but not da Bat.

You know Prime, if I don't stop eating and lounging in the cave, I will be that guy in that photo. In fact, you scared me back to working out!

Oh Shem you're right about DK2, I was so disappointed in this series.
Batman knows his opponents too well, I would doubt he would let a blue and red blur get that close my friend (cape laced in kryptonite?). Yup, it's all on who's writing the story!

Dave summed up the story line pretty good with the movie. As long as they approach it like they did Spider-man (and the upcoming Hulk movie) I will be excited about this film. Anything to wash my mouth out from the last two Batman films. :sowrong:

Bella... Batman can fly... err.. glide.. but it's still in the air kind of thingy! 😉

DK

Also, regarding that photo that Prime posted...Batman's REALLY let himself go these days.

Look Daumantas... I guess I love Italian food and women way too much.
😛

(heading for the Bat-scale)

Man... I have let myself go!

Okay, I like Batman too, but come on now, seriously!

How can any of you say he could beat Superman in a fight?

Superman could kill Batman, or any other man, with ONE PUNCH!

NO CONTEST!

Some green stuff really turns steel into pudding so I heard at a certain range even. 😎

Betty versus Veronica...in a tickle fight?

Offhand I'd say Veronica...she doesn't fight fair 😀

Assuming Batman ever did have to fight Superman, I think Batman would win for these reasons:

1. Superman may be super strong, super fast, etc., but he is not super smart. given time enough time, Batman can turn any fight in his favor.

2. Superman is not ruthless enough. If he were to somehow lose his powers (which has happened plenty of times), he has no other tools to fall back on. Batman has never relied on brute force to get the job done.

3. Duh, Kryptonite! Seeing as batman is currently in possession of some, it would be harder for him to fight some killer robot while holding it's remote control.

However, realistically, I agree with Shem.....it would all be in the comic writer's hands

Definitely Batman. It doesn't matter how strong he is or what kind of powers Superman has, Batman has the intellect to find a way around them. He takes on opponents with superhuman strength and/or powers all the time; i.e. Mister Freeze, Clayface, Killer Croc, and that loser Bane, and always thrashes them soundly.

Further, Batman has a plan on file to take down Clark. He's got plans filed to take out Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern and the rest as well. It's what got him kicked out of the Justice League.

Incidentally, this thread reminds me of a scene from the upcoming Savage Dragonbert parody from Image. In order to evade a mob of rabid fanboys, a comics writer distracts them by getting them to argue over whether or not Spider-Man could kick Wolverine's arse. The fanboys immediately battle to the death in defense of their favorite hero's rep. Later, we see an Arab man in Heaven screaming in horror as the now-dead mob of pimply, greasy, morbidly obese fanboys with their coke-bottle glasses, orthodontic headgear, and Starfleet uniforms three sizes too small proclaim: "You must be Muhammad Atta. We're your 72 virgins.":firedevil :evilha:

Dude, that's not flying, that's falling with style🙄

Batman is way, way cooler than Superman. We all know this. But, like a lot of little girls born in the '70's, I fell in love with Christopher Reeve when I first saw that movie, in some huge theater in Brooklyn the year it came out. To this day I have a thing for huge guys with dark brown hair, those of you who've met my hubby are laughing hysterically right now (right DVNC?)

Bella, who traded the Man of Steel for the guy from the Lucky Charms Box😀

Hair....

is vastly overrated....

Batman fans are optimistic...if this was a serious battle, Supes doesn't have to get within a 1/4 mile to take your boy out. Those green K lined gloves will look just fine under the building he drops on him... Q

ROFL! Yer man's way more charmin', even if it's a sly, one-liner kinda charm. I like the man. Y'chose well, and y'DO have them beautiful babies t'show for it!

Oh, and Q wins for pointin' out the one thing I hadn't considered - cooked Bats at a quarter mile distance, crushed Bats, etc. He's still gotta FIND him, though, and the pointy-headed one is ever so clever...

DVNC, who looks more like Wolverine, accordin' t'Ms. Bella. 😉
