Pretty much all of my IRL experiences have been with other men, and for the most part I have enjoyed them. In all the first-hand experiences I've had either watching or participating in tickling men, most of the approaches I've seen were the following:

if it's f/m, the f approaches the tickling in a more "seductive" manner, meaning I've not witnessed any women tickling men with the idea of being sadistic. They've been much more flirtatious in approach. Yes, a guy might have had to cry uncle from being too ticklish (it did happen on rare occasion), but also consider the embarrassing (to most) possibility of having an erection in public as adding to the tension.

with m/m, the ler engaged in horseplay to establish dominance, sometimes to force the lee to cry uncle. I've never witnessed other m/m play with presumed straight men where it led to further sexual play.
