Oh, I agree 100% (and yes folks there is ALWAYS a guy doing CBT in the corner). The other edge of the sword is that I still had to shake the rep as "that tickling guy" to even get some folks to consider me legit!

Even now, after being involved for quite some time, I have had partners who didn't want tickling as part of the scene if we were playing in public (like a play party, not the aisle at walmart) but were fine with it if we played later in private.

I think they didn't want people to see that tickling could break them pretty easily! :jester:

Tickling can be hard to bottom to in public if it's not a tk-specific event. With spanking, flogging, and other forms of play, even if it hurts you can keep a certain level of elegance and dignity: the arch of your back, the toss of your head, your face deep in concentration and the occasional sexy moan...you can feel absolutely beautiful. But tickling can make you feel like a FOOL, I get that way after umpteen years of public play: you make ridiculous noises, your body thrashes like somebody gave a chimp too much meth...it can be ridiculous :doh: I actually had my scene interrupted at Black Rose because I was laughing too loudly and the bottom being flogged across the dungeon was being distracted. Yes I'm serious 🙄 People here will tell you I won't play publically without my Mindfold; part of that is because I prefer the sensory deprivation so I can focus, but at a formal BDSM event it's also to block out any faces and their bemused/horrified expressions 😛

I hear ya...I'm hoping mine don't get screwed because of the damn hurricane...ugh. The weather is TERRIBLE here.
