Love And Other Drugs is the latest film i have seen here in the uk:

It brought out my other side 🙂🙂

This film is worth seeing its in the uk a girly film:
This film did have a small tickle scene also 🙂

Love And Other Drugs
Edward Zwick (director)
Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Katheryn Winnick, Hank Azaria, Oliver Platt

What They Said;

A stunning romantic comedy starring two of the world's hottest young stars.
Jamie (Gyllenhall) is a pharmaceutical salesman with a gift for selling the new drug Viagra - and an equal talent for selling himself to attractive young women. His considerable charms are useless, however, when he is confronted with the beautiful Maggie (Hathaway), a fascinating and alluring free spirit who won't let anything or anyone tie her down. They are both surprised by their growing feelings, but Maggie has a secret that will test their newfound love to its very limits. Director Edward Zwick, whose credits include Legends of the Fall and The Last Samurai, has crafted one of the romances of the year, sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking, but always captivating.

What I Say:
Just got persuaded to go and see this film in the uk, wasn't over keen but it was funny, a bit sexy and sometimes crude, but the sting in the tail is that once the fun and sex is out the way, we then have a lovely romantic film that becomes a tear jerker, well this silly bitch shed a tear, my partner who twisted my arm to go just smiled, laughed at me and shook her head, and said, " the bitch she does have a heart i don't believe it look the tears"

Its a bloody good job she had a train to catch still i will get my own back :stickout

If by 'recently' you mean in the last year, I would have to say "The Social Network" is hands down the best for me. I loved it; it made my nerd sense tingle.

Recently, 127 Hours and Black Swan. Both movies feature amazing lead actors that make their movies into works of art.

Though 127 Hours was absolutely painful to watch from an emotional perspective, the film is ridiculously gripping. It really doesn't cut any corners when it comes to you having to feel a fraction of what that guy went through when he was stuck against that rock in Utah. The way this guy survived left me shattered and built me up by the time the credits rolled. I don't know if I could watch it again, but I'm damn glad I did when I had the chance. I don't know if the movie would have been any good without James Franco, though Cilian Murphy was Danny Boyle's first choice, I honestly think fate chose the right actor for this job. (Though who am I kidding, Murphy is incredible as well. Boyle just has good taste in men. <3)

Black Swan is a beautiful film visually. I never thought a movie on ballet could be so intense. It's erotic, powerfully evocative with a lot of depth both visual and in the way its presented to you as a film. A score that's as respectful to its source material as its genre name actually thrills. I would honestly watch this movie three more times, if only to enjoy the entirety of it again. This was a huge surprise for me. Natalie Portman, seriously~ deserves huge recognition for her role here as well.

I think....you may have me beaten on movie review quality, Inverse.

I second what Inverse said about Black Swan. Just caught it yesterday, and thought it was brilliant. Hours after, I'm still pondering what was real and what was merely in her tortured mind. A breakthrough perf by Natalie Portman.

Also saw True Grit recently, and while it didn't have the impact on me that Black Swan did, it too was a solid movie, and I thoroughly enjoyed Jeff Bridges in the Rooster Cogburn role.

ack ack ack..no one can fill John Wayne's shoes..it's a travesty...

hmm..i don't see movies at the theater, i wait til they come to video on demand..last good movie i saw..Descent and Clash of the Titans

Inception, well that's a movie one needs to view more than once..at least for me it is..

I love ballet movies..The Turning Point is my all time favorite..can't wait for Black Swan to come to video on demand.

I understand your reticence, Isabeau, but give the new Grit a chance when it comes to V.O.D. The Cohen Bro's claim they didn't even watch the older version. I'm a fan of both, frankly.

I have a hunch you'll find Black Swan as fascinating as i did, so yes, be sure and see it when it arrives on V.O.D., too.

Another ballet-themed movie that had terrific concept was Etoile (1988), with Jennifer Connelly. Unfortunately, despite a marvelous premise, it suffers on several counts. Would be lovely to see a more competent version of the story some day.

wow you called me by my entire name..are you mad at me???

O and can we elope? David abhors any ballet movie whatsoever..sighs.

Aww, I could never be mad at you, Is(better?). David doesn't know what he is missing(mind wanders to Portman/Kunis sex scene).

The theater was packed with people squirming in their seats on that scene, it was so ridiculously hot. Movies like this remind me why porn is such a waste of time. A nice reminder of what can be powerfully erotic without being obscene.

Best films I've seen recently are....
Little Fockers- not as good as first but pretty good as a film that is part of a trilogy.
Shark Tale-I know it's an old one but I hadn't seen it before and I needed to release my inner child.lol.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. 🙂 Love the Harry Potter movies. This one was particularly long...I was tired that day, and I had trouble staying awake through it. xD It was still pretty awesome, though.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Yeah, I know, I'm such a boy 😛

Tron!

Did I get in the theater?

I GOT IN BABY! ^_^

Classic nostalgic goodness. ^_~

ack ack ack..no one can fill John Wayne's shoes.

I agree with Izzy, John Wayne is brill! 🙂

Last great movie I've watched in theaters was..............

Disney's Tangled.

Say what you want about Disney movies nowadays bt I've enjoyed this one, I've had a good time watching the entirety and loved every minute of it.The pacing was brilliant and all, and some elements of the original version were present in a different way whatsoever! :blush

:drool But.......Oh Boy, Rapunzel is barefoot in this entire movie! You can see the detail when it comes to her feet, I'd say hats off to Glenn Keane & others who designed her. :wub

Also the really great, yet unexpected thing happened after watching this movie, Tangled got me somehow into watching the old Japanese Tokusatsu franchise known as KAMEN RIDER. :stickout Go figure. :rolleyes

X-Men, the 2000 (2001?) version. 😛 One of my favourite movies of all-time, and IMO the best Marvel adaptation.

X-Men semi-related trivia: Ray Park, who plays Toad in the movie, also played Darth Maul in Star Wars: Ep 1 and the headless horseman in Sleepy Hollow. His trademark, which seems to be that he spins his weapon, is present in all three movies.

Recently nothing but Train Spotting, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The Last Picture Show are my favorites. I saw the latter in Art class.

i just saw The Green Hornet. it was pretty good.

Saw both good and bad yesterday. While giving platelets at the Blood Center(a procedure that takes approximately an hour & a half, so I typically bring a movie), I watched The Frozen Dead, a mid-60's cheapie about a Nazi plot to resurrect elite members of the 3rd Reich twenty years after WWII.

Late last night, I finally got to see Big Fish, and I may very well have a new favorite Tim Burton movie!

Inception, no doubt. 😀 (If you can keep up with its plot-line, it's an amazing movie to watch - I think. The climax is practically half the movie - if not more, and the visual effects/whatever might just make it worth it on its own. :stickout)
