Best Film you have seen recently:

Just watched Masters of the Universe! Frank Langella is an ACTING GOD! Every moment with him as Skeletor is utter bliss. ^_~

The Serpent and the Rainbow!

Conned a lady-friend into watching it with me- she was scared out of her wits even before the really bad stuff happened! The dude who plays the villain deserves an award, he's The most menacing villain EVER!

I've never seen MotU, but you're certainly right about Langella. He's always solid!

Oh dear god! Buy the DVD Rick! It's awesome! Langella really makes a badass Skeletor! Alot better than the cartoon version of Skeletor actually. Combined with all the make up, special effects, and such, it's really a great 80's movie. ^_^

Sexy Beast (2000) - Ben Kingsley as a psychotic gangster was very different and pretty tense at times. Ray Winstone as always brings the goods as well, the nightmare of someone tracking you down and demanding you get back in the life done at its most unhinged.

Hard to say- I call it "horror". Takes place in Haiti in the last few weeks of Baby Doc's regime- LOTS of voodoo involved...

Haiti is hell enough without a tyrant running the show. Baby Doc huh? Isn't he the guy who kept the severed heads of his enemies on his desk?

Water for Elephants (2011) - Quite good. She LOVED it, and was already talking about seeing it again before we'd left the theater. I wasn't THAT taken with it, but it IS a solid little tale of the hard life of circus performers during the great depression. The three main players, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson, and Christoph Waltz are all excellent, as are most of the supporting cast. Nice seeing Ken Foree catching a break from his usual genre roles.

We saw a twofer yesterday, with Thor and Bridesmaids on the menu. Talk about a movie truce! One is very much a guy flick, and the other is quite the chick flick. Both were surprisingly good.

Thor was definitely worth the ticket price. ^_^

Anthony Hopkins as Odin was just awesome. (squee!)

That movie had flop written all over it, but yeah, it wound up being ALOT better than it had any right to be. Hopkins was great as always! it actually took me a minute to realize, "Hey! That's ---".

Senna

Its a documentry film about one of the greatest car racing drivers ever.

The guy put Brazil on the map when their Football team wasn't doing too well.

Its a well presented factual film but is also a good indight into what made the guy tick.

My late father looked on him almost in a god like way, i can remember Seena but wasn't that interested in F1 at the time.

Today its all about tactics, tyres, fuel, political stuff.

In sennas time it was about driving and the best man best car won.

Not who was allowed to race and who was called in, who changed what tyres when, who got stuck in the pit lane.

It would be interesting to swop todays drivers with the old time guys in the two different worlds and see the outcome.

I think this was tryed in a computerised way once and the new era drivers won, maybe some gamers will know.

Anyway a guys film, (maybe the girls would like it,) its well worth a look worth the ticket price.

I have to agree with the Water for Elephants, I thought it was an excellent movie, I really want to read the book now xD but I also saw Into the Wild and I thought that was a fantastic film, the book's not too bad either ^^

Love And Other Drugs is the latest film i have seen here in the uk:

It brought out my other side 🙂🙂

This film is worth seeing its in the uk a girly film:
This film did have a small tickle scene also 🙂

Love And Other Drugs
Edward Zwick (director)
Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Katheryn Winnick, Hank Azaria, Oliver Platt

What They Said;

A stunning romantic comedy starring two of the world's hottest young stars.
Jamie (Gyllenhall) is a pharmaceutical salesman with a gift for selling the new drug Viagra - and an equal talent for selling himself to attractive young women. His considerable charms are useless, however, when he is confronted with the beautiful Maggie (Hathaway), a fascinating and alluring free spirit who won't let anything or anyone tie her down. They are both surprised by their growing feelings, but Maggie has a secret that will test their newfound love to its very limits. Director Edward Zwick, whose credits include Legends of the Fall and The Last Samurai, has crafted one of the romances of the year, sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking, but always captivating.

What I Say:
Just got persuaded to go and see this film in the uk, wasn't over keen but it was funny, a bit sexy and sometimes crude, but the sting in the tail is that once the fun and sex is out the way, we then have a lovely romantic film that becomes a tear jerker, well this silly bitch shed a tear, my partner who twisted my arm to go just smiled, laughed at me and shook her head, and said, " the bitch she does have a heart i don't believe it look the tears"

Its a bloody good job she had a train to catch still i will get my own back :stickout

Yes, that tickle scene with Hathaway is great! I think he is really tickling her, the second wave of tickling caught her off guard, her laugh was too realistic. If it was acting, then bravo! I really like sci-fy films and the best one I have seen recently is the Dark Knight. As much as Avengers is good and too was the Dark Knight Rises, The Dark Knight is still the best in recent years.

The last movie I saw was Expendables 2. It was pretty good. I also saw Prometheus & Dark Knight Rises earlier. Both good. Bane might be my new fictional hero.

Death Race 2000. The movie is absolute over the top terrible but its got that 70's charm that can't be beat.
