I want to bring to light a different issue that I see rising.
And I dont want people to hate me for it, but if so then I apologize if I offend anyone.
I love the fact that women are being heard and getting the justice they deserve. That's fantastic. I love that.
But there is a new trend of false accusation going around too. I myself have experienced it. A lady almost ruined my life by accusing me of sexual assault while I was on a clinical rotation in the hospital last year. All because she wanted a free bill of health and pain medications.
My life was almost ruined before it began.
Another good example would be Brian banks. An up and coming football star in 2002 had a rape story fabricated against him and he went from a high school kid with a huge future to spending 6 years in prison (5 years and 2 months actually). The woman confessed and was forced to pay all her gains back to the school (1.3 million I believe) because she also sued them for poor security on top of sending someone to prison.
My devil's advocate question here is should women falsely accusing men for sexual assault be punished, and how so if you think they should be.
Just trying to put a spin on the conversation, also share some of the hell i went through. Especially when my clinical instructor wouldn't give a statement for me because she took the day I went to HR off. Had to fend those people off myself and play the he said she said game well enough not to lose everything I worked for before I had even gotten it.
