No, acts like this don't make me wonder why others hate America. What happened today may or may not be intended as an attack on America. What it is for certain is an attack on human life. Whatever cause the terrorists think they're fighting for, they are cold-blooded and cowardly murderers and nothing else. (For precisely this same reason, if by chance the bombing turns out to be the work of Middle Eastern terrorists, I will not want my government or my country dropping any bombs and committing any cold-blooded mass murders in the Middle East as a response to this.)
Interestingly, the New York Post is continuing to hold to its story that the police have a suspect, a 20-year-old Saudi national, under guard at a hospital, even as the Boston police commissioner continues to say that there is no suspect at this time. Maybe the Post is right, but I happen to regard the post as absolutely the most worthless rag that calls itself a newspaper in the city, so I'm not putting any stock in that story at this time, no matter how earnest and convinced they may sound.
Meanwhile, with no serious information about who did this, speculation abounds. And I see from my Facebook page that there are some who think (and probably hope) this will turn out to be the work of the Timothy MacVeigh white American militant anti-tax crowd.
