Generally a silly film with a few viable pieces of thought-provoking info-tainment.

Other than that, the message(s), if any, that M.M. was trying to parlay through his film was, well, lost in the translation.

I thought this was interesting. It's dissapointing to see Moore play tricks on the viewer like this. Always knew he wasn't terribley accurate with the facts, that comes with the territory in enjoying documentraies, espcially in the modern film world. I look forward to reading more about this.

His talking to Dick Clark about the elementary school shooting was pretty pointless, too. And the father of the child wasn't around because he was serving jail time. This was left out (although the kid was left in a crack house because that was about the only choice the mother had. I'm really surprised this was left out.) But trickery is pretty dissapointing. I'll be interested in seeing how this plays out with the AMPAS.

I still think the points he brought up, though, were interesting and thought provoking and good for debate. Who has guns, how can they be better secured, the society of fear, troubled kids not being listened to, that was all interesting and worthy of discussion, if the facts themselves were not completely striaght on. This was almost as bad as Reagan, Schultz, Casey & North secretly selling weapons to the enemy nation of Iran, and in the process angering the country that we were then allied with - Iraq- into becoming our enemy with this betrayal.
