Dear Scooby,
Since smtk51 has "just found out" that his "cousin" (wink wink, nod nod) made up the story and that he, of course, should not be "blamed"--I'm going to revisit the issue:
I thought that the way you, as Mod, checked these things out was to have a brief dicussion (through e-mail or online) with guys who made these claims and tried to make a judgment about their veracity. I think a lot could be learned that way: ask for details, see if the story holds up, determine if the person appears genuine. And, by the way, this story was actually one of the easier ones to research because it involved public activity.
Gosh--all that righteous indignation from smtk51, and now, guess what, it's all "DUH! big surprise". Nice, very nice. That "cousin" really had our number, knew we'd "buy into it". Ok, ok it COULD be his "cousin", I mean, there's no proof, right?. See, he has a "cousin" who knows about the TMF and so instead of posting here himself, he feeds the info to smtk51. What a clever plan by his "cousin" to throw us off the scent!
So I guess smtk51 deserves our utmost "respect".

d3, you are right, I should have contacted smtk immediately. This will be the protocol for this situation in the future. As Wallstreet said, it is important not to scare off a poster with possible information on a celebrity when he claims a firsthand experience. But I agree with you that we should not be a forum that operates on rumors or, at least in this section, fictional stories (they are of course welcome in the Post stories section). I didn't see any problem regarding the story as an unconfirmed rumor. That being said, it would be best to verify such claims immediately, and in the future I will do so. Wallstreet, thank you for the comments, as always I value your opinion. D3, I apologize for mishandling the situation, and will contact all posters with such information in the future.

Thank you for your response and, as MLK said, the content of your character. I don't think you "mishandled" anything, but a little check-up on "first-order claims" (e.g. Britney's feet) would indeed be appropriate, I think.
Not that smtk51 isn't believable, you see, but you always have to watch out for those "cousins".

To all TMF's. My cousins' name is Jerry from Van Nuys Ca. He is not into tickling like I am. HE thinks it is stupid and a waste of time. I did not make it up. That is so high school. My cousin did not post her because he is not a member, and is not into tickling. But he knows that I am. I hope that clears anything up. I am not saying that I am innocent for this. I posted the message here, that is true. Why would my first post be a story that was made up. I enjoy tickling just like all who come here to explore a certain interest in tickling. I will keep coming back here to check all the forums and to see what new tickling media there is out there. Maybe I should not have posted the message here until I had enough proof, but I thought I would share it. No wink wink, or anything like that. This is fact, and I admit i screwed up, but if I did post something here, it would be legit. I come here to share tickling. As do all of you. Lets just enjoy what we can, and get on with our lives.

Celebs have very busy schedules, so unless it was a media event like a contest where britney comes to the winning school, and helps out there. your informant might not remember the WHOLE truth to it cause they might not be truly devoted to the facts like us ticklephiliacs.
sounds like something nickelodeon would cover. i don't totally disagree with you, but other factors may apply to your story.😉 😛
