I got the Rams. Aaron Donald and Von Miller will create havoc on the terrible Cincy oline.

Rams 31-20

I'm not so sure. After seeing what Cincinnati did to my Chiefs on both offense and defense, I wouldn't put it past Burrow and company to get the Bengals. How they came back from 18 down in the 2nd half, they just took control of that game and never let up off the gas.

Their offense kept making play after play and made Mahomes look pedestrian, like he did at the beginning of the season, the Bengals are my pick, 31-24.

This will be the toughest pass rush the Bengals have faced. If Donald and Miller have big games, I think the Rams win by 10+ points. Right now I say Rams 34, Bengals 23.

I'll be happy for either team, but I really want to see Matt Stafford win a championship. There aren't many current players who you can look at and honestly say without a doubt that they deserves a championship. Matt Stafford is one of those players. Dude suffered for 13 years in Detroit. And everyone know just how much of a black hole the Detroit Lions are. There's a reason why they had not one, but two 1st ballot hall of fame players retire in their prime.

No dog in the fight for me, but rooting for the Bengals a little more; I like Joe Burrow's story and upbringing, but if Stafford and the Rams win... cool. No score prediction but since I'm in Vegas I might put a "few dollars" on Cincinnati for fun.

Odds wise, the Rams have the advantage due to their roster and homefield advantage.

On the other hand, the Bengals have defied the odds multiple times during the playoffs. The Chiefs were favored to win against the Bengals, for example. I'm rooting for the Bengals, but if I had to put money on it, I'd go with the Rams.

Final score... Rams 30, Bengals 27

To be fair, the Chiefs crashed and burned the second half of the game. The first half Mahomes played well. The second half, it's like he forgot how to play football.

The Rams are the obvious choice for a win here, but I think it'd be a serious mistake underestimating the Bengals. Especially with how bad they probably want it. They haven't ever won a superbowl, ever. And haven't been to the superbowl since '88. One of the longest dry spells for a team in NFL history.

Gonna do the ol coin flip and put $20 on the winner

(Which is looking like the rams)

The Chiefs-Bengals game seemed to show that the Chiefs really need to improve their offensive line and beef up their defense. Mahomes isn't blameless in this, but I wouldn't put the bulk of blame on him. He admittedly did regress somewhat this season, but he still was very good during most games. It's kind of like how Brady had the occasional "bad" season during his career, but even his worst seasons were better than a lot of best seasons for other QBs. Mahomes is similar. I think what we're learning is that Mahomes isn't used to a lot of pressure in the pocket. Once he adjusts to it, he'll be back to his old self.

All that aside, there seemed to be 2 takeaways about the Bengals during that game as well. First, Burrow really is a QB worthy of the top draft pick. When his first season was shortened by injury, it was hard to evaluate his potential, but now that he's gotten this far in his second season, he may end up being the next Brady instead of Mahomes. What really gives him an edge more than anything else is his confidence. When you look at how much he's been sacked yet still performs at an elite level, it's shocking. It's like nothing can rattle this guy. If the Bengals win this Super Bowl, this quality he has will likely play a huge part.

The other thing we learned about the Bengals is that their defense is really good. They may not have a lot of big names on defense, but these guys have really stepped up in performance.

I wouldn't consider the fact that Ja'Marr Chase is an elite receiver to be something learned in that game, since he had already shown how good he was before that game. The fact that Burrow and Chase have played together since college really helps too.
